— In-game description
Alexander - The Eyes of the Creator (Savage) is a level 60 raid introduced in patch 3.4 with Heavensward. Also known as A9S, it is the first floor in Alexander: The Creator.
Strategy
The doorman of the raid, Faust Z is here to ensure players can deal enough damage and healing for the boss ahead.
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Kaltstrahl | A shared tankbuster cleave. |
| Panzerschreck | Unavoidable magic damage to the entire party. Grants Faust Z one stack of Magic Damage Up. |
Faust Z's rotation simply involves dealing high damage to the tanks with Kaltstrahl or damaging the entire party with Panzerschreck. Healers will need to stay active while relying on the DPS to defeat the boss in time.
The boss starts with four strikes of Kaltstrahl and one cast of Panzerschreck. From then on they will repeatedly loop between three Kaltstrahl strikes and two Panzerschreck casts in succession.
After two minutes, Faust Z will enrage with a long cast of Panzerschreck that will wipe the party.
Similar to the normal version, this fight involves preventing the boss from rebuilding its arms and body. Attacks will hit much harder and DPS checks will be tighter.
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Stockpile | Absorbs all robotic corpses on the field. The type of robot absorbed determines its effect on Refurbisher 0. |
| Lava | Arrows will surround one of the four quadrants, indicating that lava will rise in that location. Once the lava appears, any robotic corpses inside are destroyed. Players inside suffer a 20 second Burns.
|
| Power Generator | Small orbs that can be picked up by players, but placed only once. After being placed, they emit a damaging AoE that revives nearby robotic corpses. Robots will attach a chase tether to the player that revived them.
|
| Scrap | A line AoE cleave. |
| Scrap Burst | Piles of scrap are harmlessly dropped on four players marked with red arrows. Refurbisher 0 then casts Scrap Burst, a Line of Sight AoE that can be blocked via the scrap piles.
|
| Scrapline | A 270 degree frontal cone AoE aimed at the highest enmity target. The cast time is too short for the main tank to avoid in time. |
| Acid Rain | Four players will be marked with spread circles indicated by blue eye markers above their heads. |
| Scrap Bomb | A Stack marker. |
| Double Scrapline | Replaces Scrapline once Refurbisher 0 rebuilds its left arm.. A room-wide attack that can only be avoided by being inflicted with Minimum. |
Phase 1
Refurbisher 0 starts the fight by rebuilding its right arm, but giving the party extra time to attack.
The first phase simply involves two players using Power Generators to revive robot corpses, then destroying them in the highlighted quadrant, all while avoiding attacks from Refurbisher 0 inbetween.
It is recommended that the off-tank and one chosen DPS handles the Power Generators, and to avoid running behind the main tank to prevent Refurbisher 0's cleave from potentially dropping a held Power Generator.
The first Stockpile will drop six Small Faust, three in two quadrants. Players can simply put the Power Generators in the center of the two quadrants to revive them all.
The second Stockpile drops two Small Faust and four Mid-sized Tanks in a single quadrant. The party will have to divide the quadrant into two halves to revive all six with the available Power Generators.
There will only be one Lava quadrant for each set of enemies, so players will need to be quick with reviving and destroying the enemies.
| Attack | Strategy |
|---|---|
| Stockpile | The opening of the fight, players should move behind Refurbisher 0 to get some free damage in. |
| Scrap Burst | Hide behind the scrap piles to avoid death. |
| Stockpile | Any robot corpses here will give Refurbisher stacks of Damage Up. |
| Scrapline | Stand behind the boss while the main tank uses a mitigation. |
| Acid Rain | The four marked players should spread out. |
| Scrap Bomb | Stack together. |
| Stockpile | Any undestroyed tanks will aid in the reconstruction of the left arm. If the arm is repaired here, the party will wipe. |
| Scrapline | Handle as before. |
| Phase 2 Start | |
Phase 2
A proximity AoE appears, indicating the arrival of Full Metal Faust. As in normal mode, it will tether to Refurbisher 0 and provide it a powerful Vulnerability Down.
Full Metal Faust must be destroyed before Refurbisher 0 can cast Stockpile and absorb it. Each quadrant will fill with Lava once prior to this. As long as Full Metal Faust is defeated in a quadrant that has not filled with Lava yet, its corpse will be destroyed in time.
Full Metal Faust, similar to prior incarnations, will use a weaker Kaltstrahl and Panzerschreck. Ensure it is facing away from the rest of the party and healers should be prepared to keep everyone healthy.
Refurbisher 0 will not cast Scrap at all during this phase, but use Scrapline, Acid Rain, and finally Scrap Burst before using Stockpile.
| Attack | Strategy |
|---|---|
| Scrapline | The main tank should attempt to stay opposite to the group at all times. This also requires the group not to move to the quadrant opposite to the one filled with Lava. |
| Acid Rain | Spread out to minimize damage. |
| Scrap Burst | Hide behind the scrap piles. |
| Stockpile | If Full Metal Faust isn't destroyed by this point, Refurbisher 0 will gain 16 stacks of Damage Up and wipe the party. |
| Phase 3 Start | |
Phase 3
Refurbisher 0 will spawn three Mid-sized Tanks in one quadrant, another one in a separate quadrant, and a Giant Magitek Vangob in the third quadrant. Only one Power Generator will be provided, so players must pick which group to destroy. No matter the choice, Refurbisher 0 will rebuild its left arm with the next Stockpile.
It is recommended to revive the three Mid-sized Tanks, as the Giant Magitek Vangob has an extremely large amount of health and may be harder for the party to destroy in time.
Additionally, an Alarum will appear and attach a chase tether to the first person that attacks it. When killed, it will leave a puddle that inflicts those inside with Minimum. This should be killed outside of the Lava quadrant to be used after the next Stockpile.
Finally, after rebuilding its left arm, Refurbisher 0 will use Double Scrapline. This must be dodged by running into the Minimum puddle. The debuff will cause the main tank to take extra damage from the next auto attacks, so healers should pay attention.
| Attack | Strategy |
|---|---|
| Scrap Burst | Hide behind the scrap piles. |
| Scrap Bomb | Stack together. |
| Stockpile | Move towards the Minimum puddle in preparation for the next attack. |
| Double Scrapline | Shrink with the puddle to avoid the attack. |
| Phase 4 Start | |
Phase 4
From here, Refurbisher 0 will loop its attacks infinitely until it has successfully rebuilt its hull.
Additionally, bombs will drop on quadrants, which create mid-sized AoEs shortly before Stockpile.
The first set of enemies will be placed on the same quadrant as two bombs. An Acid Rain is used quickly here, so bomb carries will need to be fast with placing the two Power Generators.
The second set of enemies will be split on opposite corners, one corner having one Mid-size Tank and the other having three. Each corner also has with one bomb, and there is only one Power Generator available. The Lava will raise on the two corners that do not contain bombs.
| Attack | Strategy |
|---|---|
| Acid Rain | Spread out. |
| Bomb Explosion | Move away from the quadrant with the bombs once the enemies are revived. |
| Acid Rain | Spread out again. |
| Stockpile | Move towards the Minimum puddle. |
| Double Scrapline | Shrink to dodge. |
| Scrap Bomb | Hide behind scrap piles in the corners not containing bombs. |
| Bomb Explosion | After the explosion, move into those corners to avoid the Lava. |
| Stockpile | Move towards the Minimum puddle. |
| Double Scrapline | Shrink to dodge. |
