For all their swaggering, the Xtremes wiped out miserably in your bout against them. Yet what if they had the skills to back up their gormless goading? Gabbro's words echo in your mind as you consider his novel notion. Just how extreme could the Xtremes have possibly been at their gnarliest?
— In-game description
AAC Heavyweight M2 (Savage) is a level 100 raid introduced in patch 7.4 with Dawntrail. The raid is also known as M10S.
Phases & Abilities
The arena is surrounded by an AoE that will instantly kill anyone who touches it. Being hit with any avoidable AoEs will inflict a -30% Damage Down debuff for 30 seconds, along with possibly other effects.
Mechanics Timeline
The following timeline lists mechanics by their approximate resolution time, reconstructed from combat-log data. Times will drift by a second or two between pulls depending on kill speed and mitigation timing. Each phase is separated by Diver's Dare, which clears all fire puddles from the arena. Enrage occurs at roughly 10:00 (a repeating Diver's Dare cast) and requires approximately 213,000 raid DPS.
Note: This timeline is verified through the Phase 3 arena split. Phase 4 mechanics are listed in the strategy sections above but are not yet included here with confirmed timings.
Phase 1: Red Hot, then Deep Blue
| Time | Mechanic | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 0:15 | Hot Impact | Shared tankbuster on the main tank. Mitigate early. |
| 0:31 | Flame Floater | Four sequential proximity tethers. Drop in a reverse-L to limit fire spread. |
| 0:54 | Alley-oop Inferno | Marked fire AoEs on all players; applies magic vulnerability. |
| 1:04 | Cutback Blaze | Cone on the furthest player; bait the safe cone into the opposite corner. |
| 1:10 | Pyrolation | Three-hit stack on a healer. Stutter-step into the safe cone. |
| 1:23 | Diver's Dare | Red Hot becomes untargetable; Deep Blue enters from the north. |
| 1:59 | Sickest Take-off | Read the orb count: eight orbs = spread, two = light-party stacks. |
| 2:07 | Reverse Alley-oop / Alley-oop Double-Dip | Resolve at clock spots: stay after the first hit (Reverse) or move between hits (Double-Dip). |
| 2:18 | Deep Impact | Tankbuster on the furthest player; small knockback. |
| 2:25 | Diver's Dare → Xtreme Spectacular | End of Phase 1. |
Phase 2: Insane Air and Snaking
| Time | Mechanic | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 3:19–3:41 | Insane Air 1 | Four surfboard resolutions in sequence: spread cones, stack cone, or circle tankbuster. |
| 3:50 | Diver's Dare | |
| 4:06 | Firesnaking / Watersnaking | Bait debuffs; determines which boss your light party follows. |
| 4:19 | Alley-oop Inferno + Reverse Alley-oop | Fire team boxes the east wall; water team baits cones north/south. |
| 4:30 | Hot Impact | On the fire tank. Stack tanks in the middle to share mitigation. |
| 4:51 | Hot Aerial | Four jumps to the furthest fire players. Bait in tank/healer/melee/ranged order. |
| 5:03 | Sick Swell | Marks the wall for the upcoming Take-off. |
| 5:05 | Deep Varial | Wide cone from the marked wall; read the orbs (four = spread, one = stack). |
| 5:09 | Cutback Blaze | Bait toward the fire side (east). |
| 5:15 | Deep Impact | Water tank runs out and uses Arm's Length against the knockback. |
| 5:22 | Diver's Dare | End of Phase 2. |
Phase 3: Watery Grave and Arena Split
| Time | Mechanic | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 5:37 | Deep Aerial | Summons the Watery Grave tower (two-player soak); the arena becomes a circle. |
| 5:48 | Xtreme Wave (tether 1) | Proximity line: stretch the tether away from the bubble and the party. Standing too close is a one-shot. The fire tether must hit the bubble; the water tether must not. |
| 6:05 | Xtreme Wave (tether 2) | |
| 6:14 | Xtreme Wave (tether 3) | |
| 6:31 | Xtreme Wave (tether 4) | Six tethers total. Each fire hit on the bubble is a raidwide; the party supplies the remaining ~10% of the bubble's HP (a soft DPS check). |
| 6:41 | Diver's Dare | Watery Grave resolved; the arena-split phase begins. |
| 7:07 | Alley-oop Inferno | Split arena. Drop puddles at the wall in role pairs. |
| 7:12 | Reverse Alley-oop / Alley-oop Double-Dip | Deep Blue resolves this from the opposite half, behind the Flame Floater fire wall. The far party must read the cast (a focus target on Deep Blue makes this reliable): on Reverse, the tank and melee tuck to the middle; on Double-Dip, move toward your role partner. |
| 7:20 | Freaky Pyrotation | Role stacks; drops a fire puddle. |
| 7:28 | Sickest Take-off | Light-party stack. Use knockback immunity; the wave detonates fire puddles. |
| — | Diver's Dare → Phase 4 | (Phase 4 timings pending.) |
