Taken by curiosity, you activate something called the Savage Initiative at a Garlond Ironworks terminal. Apparently a program to address work-related stress, you are treated to a soothing song composed by a certain minstrel, its lush strains massaging your mind and adding vibrant flourishes to the memories of your trials within the Deltascape...

— In-game description

Deltascape V1.0 (Savage) is a level 70 raid introduced in patch 4.05 with Stormblood. The raid is also known as O1S.

Strategy

Deltascape V1.0 (Savage) is simply the final phase of the normal version extended as the entire fight.

Players will want to assign clock spot positions as they will be used constantly throughout the encounter.

Deltascape V1.0 (Savage) Guide
Alte Roite Abilities
Name Description
Wyrm Tail A standard cleave attack.
Roar Unavoidable party-wide damage.
Twin Bolt A shared tankbuster split between the highest enmity player whichever player is closest to them.
Clamp An unmarked simple line AoE extending in front of Alte Roite. Deals high damage and extreme knockback.
Blaze A Stack marker targeting a healer.
Charybdis Sets all players HP to 1.
Levinbolt All players are marked by lightning spread circles.
Flame Creates series of fire orbs that, after a time, grow larger before bursting into simple circle AoEs. Inflicts high damage and Vulnerability Up.
  • These orbs are affected by knockback from Downburst and Breath Wing.
Downburst An epicentral knockback underneath Alte Roite. Moving into the center immediately pushes players away and inflicts Vulnerability Up.
Breath Wing Alte Roite jumps to a random edge of the arena and does a directional knockback away from itself.
The Classical Elements Alte Roite casts Flame, Downburst, and freezes the floor before ending with either Levinbolt or Blaze.

A large majority of this fight can be completed simply by recognizing common mechanic markers and utilizing clock spots.

The main challenge is handling The Classical Elements, which is cast four times throughout the fight and each has a unique pattern:

The Classical Elements 1

  • A ring of Flame Orbs is created in the center, which is then knocked back by Downburst to cover the entirety of the edge.
  • Players should stand close to (but not inside) the epicenter of Downburst in clock spot positions to be knocked equally around the edge, then immediately slide to the center to dodge the Flame Orbs, and finally back to the edge to spread out for Levinbolt.

The Classical Elements 2

  • Four Flame Orbs are created in the center, and only three at the edge—leaving one safe spot.
  • Players must stack and aim be knocked into that safe spot by Downburst. Then slide back to the center and out to clock spots for Levinbolt.

The Classical Elements 3

  • Four Flame Orbs will be created in the center on either cardinal or inter-cardinal directions. The outer ring of flame orbs is a red herring and explodes prior to Downburst.
  • Players must be pushed in a direction that isn't the same as these flame orbs. After Downburst, slide back to the center for Blaze.

The Classical Elements 4

  • Is the exact same as The Classical Elements 1.

After 9 minutes and 45 seconds, Alte Roite will enrage and completely cover the arena in unavoidable Flame orbs.
