Located in the vast expanse of the Northern Empty, Aerslaent has long been protected by indomitable bastions, heritors of the ancient martial techniques developed over generations by the archipelago's rulers.

It is said that no raider's axe can penetrate a bastion's hulking skyltborg—and one would be foolish to try, for these shap-changing greatshields' aetherial artillery has brought a swift end to many a marauder, be it from near or far.

Of course, the skyltborg also offer protection for its wielder and their allies in the form of defensive and curative boons.

Bastion (???) is a  Tank job to be released with the Evercold (8.0) expansion. It is unlockable at level 90 and does not have a base class. Bastion is only available in Evolved Mode and is designed for the Main Tank role.

The bastion is a disciple of war and wears armor and accessories "of Fending". They use skyltborg as weapons.

Job mechanics

The bastion can designate an ally to receive healing and defensive effects when they trigger their actions. These effects can be triggered immediately or shifted in timing based on the encounter.

Similar to paladin, the bastion has both a melee phase and a ranged phase in its rotation.
