Introduction

From the Near Eastern nation of Thavnair comes a troupe of bewitchingly graceful performers. Though certainly elegant and beautiful, their movements also speak of martial discipline─of a pulsing, persistent energy whose rhythm can inspire souls and soothe troubled hearts. Inured to the hardships of the road, these dancers have learned to land throwing weapons with the same exacting precision as their footfalls, removing any who would obstruct the endless beat of the dance.

Dancer frame icon1.png Dancer (DNC) is a job introduced with the Shadowbringers expansion and unlockable at level 60. It is one of three physical ranged DPS jobs and does not have a base class. This job uses Throwing Weapons to deal damage to targets from afar and performs dances to damage enemies and enhance party members.

Step Gauge

Upon learning Standard Step.png  Standard Step, the Step Gauge will be displayed. Performing a Standard Step will change the appearance of the Step Gauge and cause you to start dancing. Following the displayed icons to execute steps in the correct order and ending with a Standard Finish.png  Standard Finish will increase your damage dealt and that of the party member selected as your Dance Partner.

Form & Function

Behind every great dancer is an even greater seamster, providing the gorgeous vestments that dazzle an audience while granting ease of movement to its wearer. Master tailors of the fabric capital Radz-at-Han have offered their services since the inception of the Kriegstanz, and so it is that most such performers prefer Thavnairian weave, a silk valued for its comfort, luster, and aetherial conductivity.

Over the years, elements such as sashes, engraved metal adornments, and feathered decorations have been incorporated into a dancer's dress, influencing the dance itself in turn. A skilled performer wastes not a single opportunity to draw the eye, taking advantage of such accoutrements with steps to make them flow and flash like streams under the Thavnairian sun.
