Trivia

  • Gordias (Savage) was considered a notoriously difficult raid tier when it was released primarily due to the 3rd and 4th encounters, which were characterized by unforgiving mechanics and very tight DPS checks that were made worse by the punishing nature of job design during Heavensward. Moreover, the 3rd and 4th encounters were designed to be "gear-gated", meaning that players were intended to farm several weeks of gear from Allagan tomestones or the earlier fights to be able to clear. Because there was no cross-world Party Finder and no World Visit, players often needed to transfer their characters to servers known for having a sustainable raiding population (e.g. Gilgamesh) in order to participate.
