It gives us great pleasure to announce the return of the Moogle Treasure Trove starting Wednesday, September 9, 2026!
This Moogle Treasure Trove will be a special edition to celebrate the upcoming release of Evercold, taking part across two installments and with an even more exciting range of items, including a special reward: an uolon horn!

Moogle Treasure Trove: The First Hunt for Astronomy is a special event that will take place from September 9, 2026 to October 19, 2026.
Overview
Irregular Tomestones of Astronomy I will be awarded upon completion of specific activities. These include certain PvE and PvP combat duties, GATEs, and Ocean Fishing, among other activities. The list of available duties is viewable in the Mogpendium, which can be accessed from the main menu (Duty > Collection).
Important: If this is your first time participating in a Mogpendium event, you will need to talk to an Itinerant Moogle to receive the Mogpendium and be able to earn irregular tomestones.
There are four types of objectives in the Mogpendium:
- Standard Objectives: Can be completed repeatedly, similar to objectives in prior events. Duties associated with this event will feature a moogle icon in the Duty Finder.
- Weekly Objectives: One random standard objective (with some exceptions) will be assigned as a weekly objective. Note that it is possible to be assigned a duty objective that you have not unlocked.
- Minimog Challenges: Two various objectives will be assigned as a weekly minimog challenge. Completing either one of the two will reward bonus irregular tomestones. You will not receive an additional bonus for completing both.
- Ultimog Challenges: These objectives can be completed once for the event period, resulting in a large bonus of irregular tomestones.
Weekly objectives are randomly assigned per player, while Minimog and Ultimog Challenges are shared.
Notes
- Irregular Tomestones will not be awarded when using adventurer squadrons, Duty Support system, or Trust system.
- Irregular tomestone rewards are only available to unrestricted parties if the "Level Sync" option is applied.
- Rewards for standard objectives will be claimed automatically upon duty completion. Rewards for weekly objectives, minimog challenges, and ultimog challenges must be manually claimed from the Mogpendium.
- Mogpendium rewards cannot be claimed after the release of patch 8.05.
Standard/Weekly Objectives
- ↑ a b c d e f PvP duties will reward 5 tomestones if the player's team wins or the match ends in a draw, or 3 tomestones if they lose.
- ↑ Tomestones earned depend on the MGP the player earns from the GATE. 1 for 100 MGP and 3 for 3000 MGP.
- ↑ Tomestones earned depend on the MGP the player earns from the GATE. 1 for 0 MGP, 3 for 1500 MGP, and 4 for 4000 MGP.
- ↑ Tomestones earned depend on the MGP the player earns from the GATE. 1 for 0 MGP, 3 for 2000 MGP, and 4 for 4000 MGP.
- ↑ Tomestones earned depend on the MGP the player earns from the GATE. 1 for 0 MGP, 3 for 1600 MGP, and 8 for 7500 MGP.
- ↑ Tomestones earned depend on the MGP the player earns from the GATE. 1 for 0 MGP, 5 for 5750 MGP, 10 for 12000 MGP.
- ↑ Tomestones earned depend on the player's score: 5 for 2,000 - 4,999 points, 8 for 5,000 - 7,999 points, 10 for 8,000 or more points.
One random dungeon, raid, trial, or PvP objective above (excluding Hidden Gorge) will be selected as a weekly objective. Completing the weekly objective will reward 20 which needs to be manually claimed from the Mogpendium.
Minimog Challenges
Two objectives are offered per week. Completing either will reward 10 and a Uolon Horn Token to be manually claimed from the Mogpendium. Completing both will not yield any extra reward.
Numerous objectives involve The Bozjan Southern Front, which requires completion of Return to Ivalice to unlock. This field operation is available on the free trial.
Week 1 (September 9 - 14)
- Complete 5 skirmishes on The Bozjan Southern Front.
- Catch a Caterwauler. (level 50★★).
- You must actually catch one and cannot purchase it from the Market Board.
Week 2 (September 15 - 21)
- Complete a Critical Engagement on The Bozjan Southern Front.
- Decipher a timeworn map and collect the treasure.
Week 3 (September 22 - 28)
- Complete 5 skirmishes on The Bozjan Southern Front.
- Play 1 match of Doman mahjong with other players.
- NPC matches will not be counted.
Week 4 (September 29 - October 5)
- Complete a Critical Engagement on The Bozjan Southern Front.
- Win a game of Triple Triad against the Idle Imperial in Azys Lla (X:28, Y:31) (requires level 59 MSQ The First Flight of the Excelsior).

Week 5 (October 6 - 12)
- Complete The Battle of Castrum Lacus Litore on The Bozjan Southern Front.
- Clear any area of Palace of the Dead.
- "Area" refers to any set of 10 floors.
Week 6 (October 13 - 19)
- Complete Delubrum Reginae.
- Savage is not counted.
- Complete Mount Rokkon 4 times (needs validation - subject to change).
Ultimog Challenge
- Complete Aloalo Island 6 times. Rewards 70 and 5 Uolon Horn Tokens to be manually claimed from the Mogpendium.
- Players can unlock Aloalo Island through Stranger from Paradise (after completing A Satrap's Duty).
Item Exchange
Exchange Irregular Tomestones of Astronomy I with an itinerant moogle for various items.

Rewards
Uolon Horn
The Uolon Horn, which unlocks the Uolon mount, is a new type of reward that is obtained from doing minimog and ultimog challenges in addition to requiring irregular tomestones.
The Uolon Horn may be purchased with 100 and 10 Uolon Horn Tokens. Completing the ultimog challenge during the event period rewards 5 tokens, while each weekly minimog challenge rewards 1. Therefore, players must complete the ultimog challenge and at least 5 of 6 minimog challenges to obtain the mount. The tokens will carry over to the upcoming Moogle Treasure Trove: The Second Hunt for Astronomy and be obtainable there, giving players another opportunity to obtain the mount if they miss it.

- Items in italics have a low drop rate, require lots of grinding, require performing a difficult task, are expensive, or are otherwise difficult to acquire outside this event.
Farming Irregular Tomestones of Astronomy
- Make sure to complete the weekly objective, weekly Minimog challenge, and Ultimog challenge for bonus tomestones.
- GATEs appear every 20 minutes and provide a consistent source of tomestones.
- An average Hidden Gorge match takes around 10 to 13 minutes to complete and provides 3 to 5 tomestones.
- Hidden Gorge matches also happen more often during this event, which is useful for players working on the associated achievements.
Lore
In recent years, demand from collectors and historians has led to a surge of adventurers seeking tomestones, those mysterious relics of the Allagan Empire made to record and keep its secrets. Some small number of the artifacts, unique for the peculiar sort of knowledge contained within, have piqued the interest of the eccentric─in particular, itinerant moogles, who come bearing rare goods of their own to exchange for these "irregular" tomestones.[1]
