Guide

The Rising (2018) is a seasonal in-game anniversary event that celebrates the 5th anniversary of the launch of A Realm Reborn. The story focuses on a large-scale military exercise hosted by the Immortal Flames within Ul'dah proper, named "The Calamity Retold". Players can follow reporter Dural Tharal around as he interviews those who directly experienced the Calamity, as well as join in on the military exercises within a unique, limited-time instance.

Activities

Speak with Dural Tharal at the Steps of Nald (x:10.2, y:8.3) within Ul'dah to begin the seasonal event quest "In Adventurers We Trust".
Enter the instanced event "The Calamity Retold" by talking to a Rising Recruiter. One can be found at the Steps of Nald (x:10.5, y:8.6) within Ul'dah, one at Old Gridania (x:10.2, y:9.2) within Gridania, and one at the Upper Decks (x:11.4, y:13.6) within Limsa Lominsa. Completing "In Adventurers We Trust" is not required to enter this instance.
