Limited Jobs

Limited Jobs are special jobs that have restrictions when forming parties with other players and participating in duties due to containing mechanics that are not balanced for grouping.

Currently, the only limited job is Blue Mage. A second limited, job, Beastmaster, will be released in patch 7.5.

Limited Jobs function independently of other classes and jobs, both starting at level 1. Blue Mage has a level cap of 80, while Beastmaster has a level cap of 50.

When playing as a Limited Job, it is not possible to solo queue in Duty Finder, but it is possible to participate in duties with other players in preformed or unrestricted parties. However, the following duties are inaccessible:

• Duty Roulettes
• Field Operations
  • It is not possible to change to a Limited Job after entering these instances.
• Ultimate Raids
• Deep Dungeons
• Variant and Criterion Dungeons
• PvP, including duels
  • It is possible, however, to enter the Wolves' Den as a Limited Job.
• Stone, Sky, Sea
• Hall of the Novice
• Trust, Duty Support, and Command Missions

Limited Jobs gain greater experience from battling enemies in the open world than other jobs do.

• No bonuses are granted to experience gained from FATE or Guildleve enemies.

Limited Jobs cannot be used to progress through the Main Scenario Quests.

Retainers cannot be assigned Limited Jobs.
