The esteemed Lord Vauthry believed himself to be without flaw or sin─the embodiment of glorious perfection in Innocence. Needless to say, he was not, but he nevertheless made for a tremendous opponent. Upon hearing of how you and your comrades claimed victory atop Mt. Gulg, the minstreling wanderer was immediately driven into a fit of inspired creativity, and the result is yet another composition that will send even the most unimaginative Warrior of Darkness hurtling into the depths of memory that they might once more do battle with Eulmore's fallen tyrant.
— In-game description
The Crown of the Immaculate (Extreme) is a level 80 trial introduced in patch 5.0 with Shadowbringers.
The Crown of the Immaculate takes place in a walled 20y radius circular arena.
Unlike the normal version, this fight will skip the initial section against Lord Vauthry and immediately begin with his transformed state.
A three-phase fight, Innocence will test the party's ability to dodge and position throughout. Innocence has an 11 minute enrage timer.
Phase 1
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Shadowreaver | Unavoidable party-wide damage. |
| Righteous Bolt | A lightning damage tankbuster that inflicts Lightning Resistance Down II for 50 seconds. |
| Light Pillar | A line stack marker targeting a random player. |
| Winged Reprobation (Duel Descent) | Two swords land on the arena and attach tethers to two random non-tanks. After six seconds, both swords will travel in a line AoE towards where their target was standing.
When the swords reach their destination, they will split into three directions—sending line AoEs 90 degrees left, right, and straight through relative to the initial line of travel. |
| Winged Reprobation (Soul and Body) | Two to three curving static line AoEs appear over the arena, then begin to rotate around Innocence clockwise or counter-clockwise. AoEs may have a safe gap partway across its width.
|
| Winged Reprobation (Holy Trinity) | A glowing sword appears at the edge of the arena, aiming a spread of three static line AoEs at a random non-tank player several times in a row.
|
| Rightful Reprobation | Summons several swords in two potential patterns that fly across the arena in a static line AoE, staying at the arena's edge afterwards.
After six seconds, these swords shoot back across the arena again in the same pattern with an extremely short visual telegraph. Inflicts Physical Vulnerability Up for 60 seconds.
|
| Drop of Light | Two 10y radius spread circles targeting two random non-tanks. |
A simple introduction of mechanics, most abilities used in this phase are fairly straightforward and easy to handle.
- Righteous Bolt requires a tank-swap to ensure the next cast does not result in the death of the tank.
- The two players tethered by Winged Reprobation (Duel Descent) should run to the far edge of the arena (but without overlapping the arena's center) to ensure the line AoE splits away from the party.
- The sword's line AoE is not instant, instead traveling along its intended path. Tethered players should move a safe distance away from the initial sword to give themselves time to move out of danger afterwards.
- Rightful Reprobation starts as a simple series of static line AoEs, but players will need to remember to stay out of sword's return path six seconds after.
- While the 8 concentric lines will create the same exact pattern as before, the 90-degree conical spread will create an hourglass shape on its return path.
| Attack | Strategy |
|---|---|
| Shadowreaver | -- |
| Winged Reprobation (Duel Descent) | Tethered players should run to the opposite edge of the arena from the swords, splitting to the sides to avoid overlapping the tether lines over the party. |
| Righteous Bolt | Mitigate and tank-swap. |
| Winged Reprobation (Duel Descent) | Handle as before. |
| Rightful Reprobation | Will be a 90-degree conical spread pattern. Avoid the opposite side of the AoE as well. |
| Winged Reprobation (Soul and Body) | Creates three curved line AoEs that rotate counter-clockwise—rotate with them. |
| Drop of Light | Avoid the marked players. |
| Righteous Bolt | Mitigate and tank-swap. |
| Winged Reprobation (Holy Trinity) | Dodge the AoEs. If a player realizes they are the target, they can move towards the edge of the arena to keep the party safer. |
| Rightful Reprobation | Will be 8 concentric line AoEs. Stand and stay in the safe-zones until the swords fly across the arena a second time. |
| Light Pillar | Stack and mitigate. |
| Shadowreaver | -- |
| Winged Reprobation
(Soul and Body + Duel Descent) |
Creates two curved line AoEs with gaps partway through that rotate clockwise. Handle the Duel Descent as before while rotating with the AoEs. |
| Phase 2 Start | |
Phase 2
Innocence will become untargetable and summon two Forgiven Venery (one in the east and one in the west) and one Forgiven Shame on the south side of the arena. Meanwhile, he will also begin filling an Immaculate Authority gauge that will defeat the party if it is allowed to fill to 100.
The Forgiven Shame will cast Scold's Bridle, dealing high party-wide damage, whereas the Forgiven Venery will only cast Holy Sword—a weak tankbuster.
The two Forgiven Venery must be kept apart at all times, else they will tether to each other and gain Vulnerability Down.
Additionally, enemies will be buffed with Vauthry's Blessing every 10-15 seconds, increasing their size and damage dealt.
DPS should focus on killing the Forgiven Shame first to minimize damage dealt to the party. Afterwards, the Forgiven Venery can be killed at the party's leisure.
The group must defeat all enemies before Innocence can fully charge their Immaculate Authority. Should the party succeed they will instead receive heavy party-wide damage from Flaming Sword before the next phase begins.
Phase 3
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Starbirth | Two to four floating orbs of light appear around the arena. When an orb is hit by any of Innocence's abilities, it will detonate into a large 20y radius static circle AoE, dealing high damage and inflicting both Damage Down and Vulnerability Up.
|
| Beautific Vision | Innocence moves to a random edge of the arena and casts an unmarked proximity line AoE across the center from where he is facing. Players will take more damage the closer they are to this line. |
| God Ray | Three 90-degree static cone AoEs appear around Innocence, with small 30-degree safe areas inbetween. After a few seconds, these AoEs grow outwards in a wave. Deals high damage and inflicts Vulnerability Up. |
This final phase will primarily involve avoiding Starbirth and Beautific Vision, with one notable attack combination attempting to trick the party.
- Beautific Vision requires the party to stack up against the far edge to the left or right of Innocence. The farther the player is from line created down the center of the arena, the less damage they will take.
- Starbirth typically involves standing in the one section of the arena not covered by light orbs, or attempting to avoid hitting light orbs with Drop of Light AoEs.
At one point in time, Innocence creates four Starbirth orbs around the arena, leaving no safe area to stand initially. The party must pull Innocence between two orbs, then aim a follow-up Light Pillar line stack at an orb on the opposite side of the arena to detonate it safely—thus leaving the party a safe place to stand later.
After about 11 minutes, Innocence will enrage with a cast of Starbirth that creates four orbs and a 10 second cast of Beautific Vision that will defeat the party.
| Attack | Strategy | |
|---|---|---|
| Opening | Starbirth | Creates three Starbirth orbs. Players should move to the one empty corner. |
| Shadowreaver | Detonates all Starbirth orbs. | |
| Winged Reprobation (Soul and Body) | Creates three curved line AoEs with gaps that rotate counter-clockwise. | |
| Rightful Reprobation | Concentric 8-line pattern. Dodge and hold still. | |
| Beautific Vision | Wait for the Rightful Reprobation to complete, the run to the arena's edges to the left and right of Innocence. | |
| Loop | Righteous Bolt | Mitigate and tank-swap. |
| Starbirth + Drop of Light x2 | Creates two Starbirth orbs. Stay in the center of the arena while the two players marked by Drop of Light split to the empty edges away from the orbs. | |
| Light Pillar | Aim the line away from the Starbirth orbs. | |
| Beautific Vision | Stand on to the edge of the arena away from any Starbirth orbs. | |
| Rightful Reprobation | Will be a 90-degree conical spread pattern. Avoid the opposite side of the AoE as well. | |
| God Ray x3 | Look for the safe zone that will not be covered by Rightful Reprobation's return, then dodge another two times after. | |
| Shadowreaver | -- | |
| Righteous Bolt | Mitigate and tank-swap. | |
| Starbirth | Creates four Starbirth orbs. The tank should bring Innocence to the wall between two orbs. | |
| Winged Reprobation (Holy Trinity x2) | Creates two Holy Trinity swords, one on the north and south of the arena. Dodge AoEs and/or aim them away from the party. These will not detonate Starbirth orbs. | |
| Light Pillar | Aim the line stack towards one of the orbs on the opposite side of the arena. Stay as close to Innocence as possible to avoid the Starbirth detonation. | |
| Shadowreaver | Run to the newly created safe zone. | |
| Righteous Bolt | Mitigate and tank-swap. | |
| Winged Reprobation
(Holy Trinity x2 + Duel Descent) |
Dodge the AoEs while moving the tethers to the opposite side of the arena. | |
| Winged Reprobation (Soul and Body) | Creates three curved line AoEs with no gaps that rotate clockwise. | |
| Starbirth | Creates three Starbirth orbs. Players should move to the one empty corner. | |
| Beautific Vision | Run to the safe quadrant against the edge minimize damage. | |
| Rightful Reprobation + Drop of Light | Will be a 90-degree conical spread pattern. Unmarked players should stay near the center while marked players spread out across the edge and away from Rightful Reprobation. | |
| Winged Reprobation (Duel Descent) | Handle as before. | |
