Base Skysteel Tools can be upgraded to Skysteel Tools +1 by crafting HQ materials (for crafters) or gathering materials (for gatherers) and handing them in to Denys.

Items Required

Disciple of Hand (DoH)

Each craft requires 1x of a material that costs Purple Crafters' Scrip 20 Purple Crafters' Scrips, totaling Purple Crafters' Scrip 400 per tool.

Disciple of Land (DoL)

This used to be harder as some of the items formerly had to be High Quality, but HQ gathering was removed in patch 6.0.

For Botanist/Miner:

  • The chance of the hidden item appearing naturally is low, so focus GP on finishing the hidden item before the normal one.
  • Make sure to do your level 55 class quests for Luck of the Pioneer or Luck of the Mountaineer, as these can force the hidden item to appear.

For Fisher:

  • Since HQ gathering has been removed, skills such as Patience are not needed - normal hooking should work fine.
  • Unlike other "coral" fish, the Thinker's Coral does not need Snagging to catch it.
  • Thinker's Coral is a ! bite. If nothing bites after 11s, Rest and Cast again.
  • Triple Hook yields 3 corals.
