Skysteel Tools +1 can be upgraded to Dragonsung Tools by crafting HQ  materials (for crafters) or gathering materials (for gatherers) and handing them in to Denys.

Requirements

• Quest: Work It Harder, Make It Better
• Disciple of the Hand or Land level 80
• Starting NPC: Neillemard
• Starting Location: Foundation (X:7.9 Y:10.6)
• Prerequisite: Players must first complete the quest Mislaid Plans

Each craft requires 1x of a material that costs  20 Purple Crafters' Scrips, totaling  600 per tool.

Notes:

• The Zonure Skin and Ovim Fleece are monster parts that cannot be gathered by Miner or Botanist. They can be collected in bulk from sending a combat Retainer on Hunting ventures, or bought in bulk from Gemstone Traders for Bicolor Gemstones.
• The Ala Mhigan Salt Crystal is from a timed Unspoiled Node in The Lochs.

Disciple of Land (DoL)

• This used to be harder as some of the items formerly had to be  High Quality, but HQ gathering was removed in patch 6.0.

For Fisher:

• Remember to use Signature Skyball as bait.
• Dragonspine is a ! bite.
  • Ogre Horn Snail may also appear, Surface Slap it.
  • After slapping snails, use Double Hook or Triple Hook on the next ! bite, as Dragonspine is guaranteed.
  • Optionally, use Identical Cast after the "blind" double/triple hook, then use double/triple hook again. This costs a lot of GP and will require cordials and/or waiting for GP to regenerate, though.
• Triple Hook yields 3 Dragonspines.
• 900 GP base with 150 GP smuggled strategy (catches 6 Dragonspine per cycle)
  • 1) Wait for GP to recover to at least 200.
  • 2) Catch an Ogre Horn Snail (!) and Surface Slap it.
  • 3) Use Prize Catch.
  • 4) Wait for GP to recover to at least 900. Use any cordials that come off cooldown during this time.
  • 5) Use Triple Hook on the next ! bite to catch 3x large-sized Dragonspine, earning 3 Angler's Art stacks.
  • 6) Quickly use Thaliak's Favor to recover 150 GP, then use Identical Cast.
  • 7) Wait for GP to recover to at least 700. Use any cordials that come off cooldown during this time.
  • 8) Use Triple Hook to catch 3x Dragonspine.
  • Repeat from step 1.
