Dragonsung Tools can be upgraded to Augmented Dragonsung Tools by crafting  collectables (for crafters) or gathering materials (for gatherers), handing them in to Denys for class-specific "gobbiegoo", and then handing those in to Nimie.

Requirements

• Quest: Ever Skyward
• Disciple of the Hand or Land level 80
• Starting NPC: Nimie
• Starting Location: Foundation (X:7.9 Y:10.6)
• Prerequisite: Players must first complete the quest In Everyone's Best Interests

Disciple of Hand (DoH)

• Upgrading from Dragonsung Tools to Augmented Dragonsung Tools is done via collectables.
• 90 pots of Gobbiegoo are required to upgrade each tool.
• Note that each "Gobbiegoo" is specific to the class you craft it with.
• The currency item can be bought from the Market Board, or via the Scrip Exchange for  20 Purple Crafters' Scrips or  20 Skybuilder's Scrip each.
• The gather item can be gathered or bought from the Market Board.

• You will receive 2,3 or 5 pots of Gobbiegoo depending on your collectability rating.
  • For example for carpenter - if you are able to meet the maximum threshold of 720+ then you would receive 5 pots of Gobbiegoo per craft (and would need 18 in total (5 x 18 = 90)) to complete the upgrade, totaling  360 or  360 for the tool.
  • If however you could only meet the minimum threshold (360) then you would only receive 2 pots of Gobbiegoo and would need 45 in total (45 x 2 = 90), totaling  900 or  900 for the tool.

• Note: The Vampire Cup Vines are monster parts that cannot be gathered by Miner or Botanist. They can be collected in bulk from sending a combat Retainer on Hunting ventures, or bought in bulk from Gemstone Traders for Bicolor Gemstones.

Disciple of Land (DoL)

• Upgrading from Dragonsung Tools to Augmented Dragonsung Tools is done via gathering of specific items.
  • This used to be harder as the items formerly had to be  High Quality, but HQ gathering was removed in patch 6.0.
• For this step, you must equip the relic tool in order to gather the items.
• 50 pots of Gobbiegoo are required to upgrade each tool.
• Note that each "Gobbiegoo" is specific to the class you gather it with.

Reward
Miner's Gobbiegoo, Botanist's Gobbiegoo, Fisher's Gobbiegoo

• 10 gathered items can be traded for 1 pot of Gobbiegoo.
• In addition, for miner and botanist a "hidden" item (not present on every node) will also need to be turned in.

For Fisher:

• Only 6 pots of Gobbiegoo are required. 10 items will give 1 pot of Gobbiegoo.
• Remember to equip the Dragonsung Fishing Rod and use Signature Skyball as bait.
• Petal Shell is the only ! bite in the pool, so use Double Hook or Triple Hook on every ! bite.
  • Modest Lure can be used to increase the chance of a ! bite (or even guarantee it, if the proc happens).
• If nothing bites after 14s, Rest and Cast again.
• 900 GP base with 150 GP smuggled strategy (catches 6 Petal Shell per cycle)
  • 1) Use Prize Catch.
  • 2) Wait for GP to recover to at least 900. Use any cordials that come off cooldown during this time.
  • 3) Use Triple Hook on the next ! bite to catch 3x large-sized Petal Shell, earning 3 Angler's Art stacks.
  • 4) Quickly use Thaliak's Favor to recover 150 GP, then use Identical Cast.
  • 5) Wait for GP to recover to at least 700. Use any cordials that come off cooldown during this time.
  • 6) Use Triple Hook to catch 3x Petal Shell.
  • Repeat from step 1.
