This bustling city on the Near Eastern isle of Thavnair is renowned as a prosperous trading hub and the birthplace of alchemy. Over the course of its storied history, it has produced countless influential figures and ingenious creations that have since made their ways to distant shores.
Perched atop a massive pillar of rock, its ornate buildings boast vibrant hues rivaled only by those of its locally produced textiles.

— Patch 6.0 special site

Radz-at-Han is a city in Ilsabard. This is the Minor City in Endwalker (6.0). The aetheryte is disabled upon first reaching the area and cannot be attuned to until during the level 85 MSQ Main Scenario Quest At World's End.

Getting there

This city is first visited during a cutscene as part of the level 80 main scenario quest Main Scenario Quest The Satrap of Radz-at-Han but cannot be entered normally. The city itself becomes accessible by talking to the Radiant Guardsman at the bridge gate in Thavnair (X:25.6, Y:9.4) starting from Main Scenario Quest The Jewel of Thavnair (Lv. 81), but the aetheryte is disabled. The aetheryte is unlocked during Main Scenario Quest At World's End (Lv. 85). During the Lv. 85 main scenario quest chain, the guard will move aside and the city can be entered normally from the northeast exit of Thavnair. After completing Main Scenario Quest Endwalker, the airship landing becomes functional and connects to major cities.

Trivia

  • In Hannish, radz means diverse, and han means city.[1]
  • The name Radz-at-Han may be based on Rajasthan, a state located in northern India.
  • Despite being a global center of commerce, Radz-at-Han does not have a Market Board due to its status as a Minor City. (Conversely, the Major City of Endwalker, Old Sharlayan, has a Market Board despite its status as a isolationist nation-state).
