New players should directly purchase Augmented Shire Weapons and Gear, giving IL 270, with 
Allagan Tomestones of Poetics. This gear is bolded in the tables below.
Poetics gear can purchased in Idyllshire after 
A Great New Nation. Additionally, 
Rowena's Representative appears in Foundation (X:10.5 Y:11.8) after Heavensward.
Alternatively, Basic-rarity crafted gear made with Stormblood materials can be had HQ off the Market Board or from the MSQ, giving IL 255, with 
Gil. This gear is italicised in the tables below.
Scrips exchange unlock quest 
Go West, Craftsman requires only The Better Half technically, but practically also A Great New Nation since Idyllshire access is needed to complete.

Uniquely, at level 60 there is no all-classes armor set purchasable for Scrips. While Ironworks Crafting and Gathering Gear can be made HQ or had on the Market Board, the level 61 Stormblood leveling set will be much cheaper and easier to craft.
