“When it comes to yer place in a party, yer the wall o' steel what takes the enemy hits. Soakin' up the pain an' keepin' yer mates safe-- that's what ye need to focus on most durin' battle. Enmity is a measure o' how badly a foe wants to kill ye, an' it's yer job to be at the top of every enemy's list. So for this exercise, ye'll be learnin' about “enmity” and how to build it.

Tank Training - Exercise 2: Execute a Combo to Increase Enmity is a level 15 Hall of the Novice exercise introduced in patch 3.2 with Heavensward.
General Information
- This training exercise is the second in a series of eight for the tank role in Hall of the Novice, which becomes available when you unlock dungeons.
- Execute a Combo to Increase Enmity is exclusive to the tank role training exercises, unlike the first and final exercise of Hall of the Novice.
- This training exercise is designed to get you comfortable with the specific combo that will help you generate enmity and keep threat on specific targets. This also introduces the importance of using an enmity stance, which will look and be named differently depending on the class/job you choose.
- Success in this training exercise is based on whether you execute the combo four times in total. The exercise includes a wooden dummy as the only target.
- You fail this exercise when you get the order wrong more than four times.
