— In-game description

Tank Training - Exercise 4: Accrue Enmity from Mulitple Targets is a level 15 Hall of the Novice exercise introduced in patch 3.2 with Heavensward.

General Information

  • This training exercise is the fourth in a series of eight for the tank role in Hall of the Novice, which becomes available when you unlock dungeons.
  • "Accrue Enmity from Multiple Targets" is one of the training exercises exclusive to the tank role, for example unlike the first and final exercise of Hall of the Novice.
  • This training exercise focuses on using your enmity stance and the Area of Effect enmity weaponskill that you acquire as a tank. You are expected to position yourself accordingly to hit each of the dummies at once, as they disappear and reposition as you hit them. A variety of different positioning occurs, in an attempt to emulate the possibilities for which you can use the attack.
  • Success in this exercise is achieved by hitting each set of dummies five times with your AoE enmity weaponskill. The exercise is failed when the AoE weaponskill is used a total of five times without hitting all three dummies. As an example, if you hit two of the dummies out of three, the counter will increase. The instructor NPC will send a message each time the counter is increased, although it will be the same message each time and the text will not change as the counter goes up. Please note that the counter will increment whenever the weaponskill is used without hitting three targets, even if the dummies are not spawned; so try not to spam the ability while waiting for the new spawns.

Rewards

  • Experience 3,360 Gil 20

History

  • Prior to patch 6.1, Overpower.png  Overpower used to be a conal instead of point-blank AoE. Before it was changed, the Smith would have said the following if the player was on Marauder frame icon.png marauder or Warrior frame icon.png warrior: "Overpower hits every bugger in a cone in front of ye- make sure yer positioned so ye don't miss anyone."
