Scalekin

Scalekin is a class of creature within the bloodborn kingdom and one of eight classes of beasts tamable by beastmaster, encompassing most reptile-like creatures.

Clearing a board with only scalekin will reward the Scalekin Gambit bonus (750 points). If a player receives this bonus on the Second Master's Board, they will earn the Scalekin Mate achievement.

Lore

All members of this class bear tough, scaly hides that serve as armor to protect their bodies from the claws and jaws of hungry predators. That said, most all scalekin are, in fact, better defined by their subclasses, the most popular being cloudkin and wavekin. Scalekin are also speculated to have distant relations with dragons as can be attested by the ease at which the spoken can manipulate their lesser cousins' minds, driving them to servitude.

Covered in hard shells or scales, many of the specimens that belong in this class are either carnivorous or omnivorous, and often rest comfortably at the top of their respective ecosystems' food chains. Their populations, however, are vulnerable to changes in temperature, and the habitats in which they can thrive are somewhat limited when compared with other types of beasts.
