Traits
This phantom job does not have any traits.
Notes
Phantom White Mage, released later in patch 7.55, has a similar niche as Chemist in being able to revive other players, including within The Forked Tower: Blood and The Forked Tower: Magic (Extreme). However, White Mage has stronger damage and utility, making Chemist mostly obsolete outside of niche cases such as synergizing Occult Ether with an MP-dependent job.
Trivia
- Chemist is not available as a regular job in the game as of Dawntrail. According to interviews with Square Enix[citation needed], Chemist was originally considered to be a potential healer job but was scrapped in favor of
sage due to difficulties with balancing an ingredient mixing system that has historically been at the core of the job in other Final Fantasy titles. - This job is based on the Chemist job from Final Fantasy V.
