Gunbreaker (GNB) is a Tank job released with the Shadowbringers (5.0) expansion. It is unlockable at level 60 and does not have a base class.

Unlock

Prerequisite: The player must be a level 60 or higher Disciple of War or Magic
Quest: Speak to Gods' Quiver Bow in New Gridania (X:11.5 Y:11.9) to obtain the quest The Makings of a Gunbreaker.

Equipment

The gunbreaker is a disciple of war and wears armor and accessories "of Fending". They use gunblades as weapons.

Gameplay

Gunbreaker is a fast-paced tank with decent mitigations and a hectic burst phase. Gunbreakers get a standard mitigation toolkit, with a powerful invulnerability in Superbolide, and the flexibility to use Aurora as either personal mitigation or extra healing for party members.

Gunbreaker's DPS rotation is centered around building up cartridge charges through its basic combo, then spending charges on powerful abilities during the No Mercy buff window every 60 seconds. It also relies more heavily on weaving than other tanks, with Continuation providing opportunities to weave additional attacks after spending cartridges.

Combos

→ →: Basic single-target combo. Second hit recovers HP and grants a personal barrier; third hit stocks a cartridge.

→: Basic multi-target combo. Second hit stocks a cartridge.

→Weave → →Weave → →Weave: Expends a cartridge to deal high damage with a three-hit, single-button combo. With Continuation, each combo ability also enables a follow-up oGCD action to weave before the next GCD.

→ →: A high-damage combo that hits multiple enemies. Available after executing Bloodfest.
