Maximum Speed

Maximum Speed is a Racing Chocobo Stat that determines the highest potential speed a chocobo can run.

In normal conditions, a chocobo with a stat of 500 in maximum speed (the highest possible) runs about 50% faster than a starter chocobo.

Maximum Speed is generally considered the most-important stat to prioritize on a chocobo, and it is maxed in most endgame builds. It allows for finishing races faster, and makes effects that give temporary infinite-stamina (such as Choco Dash or the Stamina Tablet item) more effective, as more distance can be covered within that time frame.

However, Maximum Speed should be raised alongside Endurance and Stamina for efficient stamina usage. Failing to raise Endurance will result in the chocobo becoming Lathered too easily (which causes stamina to spend at a faster rate) while attempting to accelerate to the max speed, and failing to raise Stamina decreases the amount of stamina available to spend.
