Suspend is an action unlocked at level 4. It is available for Phantom Geomancer.

History

Notes

  • This action is required to resolve certain mechanics in Occult Crescent The Forked Tower: Blood:
    • Levitating over certain areas of electrified ground in the central passages (hallways) section to reach Trap Control Orbs that disable the dangerous floor and allow the rest of the party to pass safely.
    • Levitating over certain areas of electrified ground in the pronged passage (bridges) section to reach switches that will open the path for the other side.
    • Outside of these mechanics, Suspend should be deactivated to avoid exceeding the maximum number of active buffs.
  • This action prevents fall damage.

Usage in Critical Encounters

Suspend can be utilized to dodge attacks in three Critical Encounters

  • Company of Stone - works on all attacks except any line AoE/beam from outside the arena
  • Cursed Concern - only Earthquake
  • Noise Complaint - only Rumble, ground AoE after dashing to a bird, works on nothing else

The remaining Critical Encounters contain no uses for Suspend

  • On the Hunt
  • Scourge of the Mind
  • Shark Attack
  • The Black Regiment

Trivia

  • This action is a reference to geomancer's Light Step action in Final Fantasy V, which allows the party to safely walk over dangerous floors.
