Tips and Tricks
- Left Maw is an attack on the left side applying a
Vulnerability Up. - Right Maw is an attack on the right side applying a Vulnerability Up.
- Pyric Circle is a telegraphed donut AoE.
- Pyric Burst is a telegraphed proximity AoE. Get away from it.
- Leaping Pyric Circle leaps to a target and then immediately uses Pyric Circle. Go toward where it is facing.
- Leaping Pyric Burst leaps to a target and then immediately uses Pyric Burst. Get away from where it is facing.
- Scratch is a telegraphed tank buster on the main target.
Description
“Comparative mythology is a field founded upon the close examination of myths of different cultures, with the aim of identifying any common traits they may share. Amongst these commonalities, one in particular has fascinated me─the multi-headed snake or dragon.
Ophioneus is just such a creature─a divine serpent found in several of the oldest legends that remain extant today.
Initially, I believed it to be inspired by the hydra─a draconic creature bred artificially by the Allagans─until I discovered legends that predate even the Allagan Empire!

“Ophioneus is a multi-headed serpent of the sort featured in many an ancient legend across the star. Though once thought to be inspired by the hydra—a draconic creature bread artificially by the Allagans—this theory was disproven with the discovery of Ophioneus legends predating the Allagan Empire itself. Though the true source of the tales remains unclear, the possibility that such a creature once existed cannot be denied. Particularly if one does not wish to endure several bells' worth of comparative mythology lectures.
