Shaaloani's top train driver has a vision for the future of Xak Tural Railing, and she knows they need help to lay the groundwork─yet stationmaster Wawlika insists on bearing the entire burden himself. Can a compromise be reached, or will this conflict derail everything they've built thus far? It'll take the fortitude of an artisan to set this company back on track!
To deliver items, players need to be a Disciple of the Hand or Land at level 90+. The client's satisfaction level will also increase.
Items with a higher collectability will earn greater gil and scrip rewards.
The satisfaction gain is fixed, as long as the item meets the minimum collectability requirement.
EXP gain scales according to the player's current level, but it does not increase with higher collectability.
The rewards given vary by the NPC's satisfaction level at the time of the delivery.
(Note: Orange scrip yields changed as of Patch 7.51. It seems that old NPCs' yields were raised to the new NPC yield, and the actual newest NPC (Tiisol Ja) has an even higher yield than that. Estimated but unconfirmed data is marked with asterisks.)
Note: Nitowikwe gives 141 orange scrips for tier 3, instead of 140.
Bonus
When an item category is on bonus (only possible for NPCs at level 5), the rewards are multiplied by 1.5x (rounded down), resulting in the following rewards:
The key to keeping the train running quiet is to minimize creaks and groans. That's why we regularly polish any parts that are quick to wear, like the wheels.

As I was shelving the supplies, Wawlika got curious to see your handiwork. Suffice it to say you've exceeded his expectations, too.
We really owe you, Forename. With our train running so quietly, the rroneek are back to grazing undisturbed, and the locals have you to thank for that.
Our passengers like it, too–and when they're happy, the railing's happy.
Watching these dome folk cry tears of joy after being kept from Shaaloani for so long...I couldn't be prouder of our work.
Speaking of which, there was another project I'd like your help with. Give me some time to iron out the particulars, and I'll be in touch, all right?
Nitowikwe is pleased with your efforts. She now considers you a Marriage Mediator!
And yet, there is still much work to be done if the Xak Tural Railing is to continue operating smoothly. To that end, Nitowikwe has a new favor to ask of you...
Historically, Turali travelers have used these glowing orbs in place of lanterns. I reckon they'll help to light the carriages during our evening service.
Hm... I'd rather send the poor soul with a guide, just to be safe. Do you reckon there are any dome dwellers planning to take the next northbound train...?
For my own peace of mind, I think I'll ask around. Wait here, all right?
Nitowikwe is delighted with your efforts. She now considers you a Customer Caretaker!

I'm back! Luckily, I managed to flag down a friendly Alexandrian to escort him.
Now that I think of it, I suspect that man's not the only rider with apprehensions about the fortress. Nitowikwe: But we can't count on passing dome dwellers to do the job every time. We need a more reliable option...
Our passengers are paramount. If you ask me, they're the only reason we have a business at all.
That's it... I've got it! The next project will have to wait─this takes priority!
Based on your descriptions of Vanguard's floorplan, we could print guidebooks and pass them out on every northbound service. Hard to get lost with a map in hand, right?
I'll see if I can get my paws on a printing press. Bring me the paper and ink, and you'll be rewarded with a publisher's credit on each copy! How's that sound?
End of cutscene.

So long as our maps are made with durable paper and long-lasting ink, they can be folded and unfolded as many times as necessary to get their owners through Vanguard.
There's a reason these critters are named for their ink. Highly resistant to water. With a little refining, not even the heaviest downpour will be able to wash it away!
I was wondering what's got our Nitowikwe in such a chipper mood! Nice to see you, Forename. I take it everything's going well?
Lately I've been planning out how we'll lay tracks through Vanguard to link back up with Yyasulani Station, but there are a fair few factors to consider─our budget not least among them.
In hindsight, it's more than I could have managed while running operations at the same time. Thank you both for enabling me to focus on this.
Any train that runs on ceruleum is bound to get sooty. Fortunately, this industrial-grade soap makes cleaning slightly less of a hassle for our engineers.
If there's one thing you ought to know about ceruleum-powered locomotives, it's that they get sooty fast. Luckily, sponges like these make cleaning a breeze.
We can discuss your ideas in further detail─after our railroad spans the length of Tural. Now, get back to work!
It's great to see the boys so passionate about their work. Thanks again, Forename.
If you've a little more time to spare, I have an update about our progress.
Nitowikwe could not be happier with your efforts. She now considers you a Savior of the Railing!
A new quest continuing the story of the Xak Tural Railing is now available. Upon its completion, the Custom Deliveries list for Nitowikwe will be updated.
Train tracks aren't built solely with timber and spikes. It takes a great many materials to lay rail, and we require exceptional quality to ensure the safety of our passengers.
It takes a lot to lay a new trackbed. The hard gravel of the ballast has to work in conjunction with the railroad ties to support a weight of several thousand tonzes!
I appreciate everything you're able to bring us, Forename. Because of you, I can manage operations from the driver's cab if need be.
And on my days off, whenever you're not around, I sit in the office and balance the books. It was rough going at first, but I've nearly got the hang of it now!

Thanks for another great delivery, Forename. The boys get so giddy when we hear that you're coming─even Wawlika!
Then again, I reckon I'm no different. Getting my paws on those much-needed supplies is always the highlight of my day, but I'd be lying if I said your presence was any less heartening.

Our riders have never been happier, Forename, and we owe it to you and your many contributions.
I see them off when they leave, and I'm there when they return a few days later. Sometimes they even greet me like we're old friends... It warms my heart like nothing else.

You're a real treasure, Forename. I don't know what the Railing would do without you.
So, how are the Dawnservants faring of late? And, er...that Shetona fellow, whatever his name was... Tell them to come and enjoy a ride sometime, all right? I'd love to chat more.

Thanks for another great delivery, Forename. Once I put these away, I think I'll head back to the station.
With Wawlika handling a greater share of administrative tasks lately, I've been spending more time at the throttle again. At this rate, we'll be back to our old jobs in no time!

On behalf of everyone at Xak Tural Railing, thank you for your dedication, Forename. You're the ceruleum that keeps us rolling forward, and I can't wait to see what's ahead!
But expanding the rail isn't my only ambition for the future. I'd like to expand our family, too─y'know, have kids. Reckon the boys would spoil 'em rotten.
You wouldn't mind being an honorary aunt/uncle, would you, Forename? Haha!
