Custom Deliveries for Margrat were introduced in patch 6.5.

About

From the industrious enclave of Sharlayan Hamlet lifts a cry of anguish─working hours are too long, deadlines are too short, and, perhaps worst of all, the chairs are murder to sit on. Margrat may be only one of Labyrinthos's many denizens, but her distress echoes a greater discontentment within Sharlayan's foremost research community. Is there any hope for Margrat and her peers? Or will the voices of those who labor for love remain unheard?

Rewards

Completing deliveries will give the player Purple Crafters' Scrip Purple Crafters' Scrips or Purple Gatherers' Scrip Purple Gatherers' Scrips along with ExperienceExperience and a small amount of Gil Gil.

To deliver items, players need to be a Disciple of the Hand or Land at level 80+. The client's satisfaction level will also increase.

  • Items with a higher collectability will earn greater gil and scrip rewards.
  • The satisfaction gain is fixed, as long as the item meets the minimum collectability requirement.
  • Experience EXP gain scales according to the player's current level, but it does not increase with higher collectability.

The rewards given vary by the NPC's satisfaction level at the time of the delivery.

(Note: Orange scrip yields changed as of Patch 7.51. It seems that old NPCs' yields were raised to the new NPC yield, and the actual newest NPC (Tiisol Ja) has an even higher yield than that. Estimated but unconfirmed data is marked with asterisks.)

Dialogue

Satisfaction Level 1

To hear Thesauros's excuses, one might think it necessary to sell your firstborn to afford a comfortable chair and desk. Surely it isn't impossible to properly furnish a laboratory on a budget?
If the player delivers Cushion Care Package
Sometimes a good cushion is all you need to transform any old chair into posterial paradise. I've even heard of designs that incorporate gelatinous material sourced from─well. So long as it's comfortable, right?
If the player delivers Ossicula
Stones with magnetic properties and herbal compresses are supposedly effective remedies for ailing backs, but do you know what's even better? Actual rest.
If the player delivers Cushion Care Package Materials
Back pain may be a symptom of a deficiency of nutrients essential for bone development. The positive effects of a balanced diet may not manifest immediately, but who doesn't feel better after a healthy meal?

On Satisfaction Level 1 Completion

These should make all the difference! Wait here; I'll go and deliver them to my colleagues.
Start of cutscene.
The results are in. Those items you procured for us...
...are the best thing since sliced Archon loaf! Ahahahahaha!
No longer shall our backs suffer the cricks and cramps of outrageous furniture! With renewed health and mental clarity may we set upon our work and meet our deadlines without need for extensions!
...Probably!
Ahem. Theatrics aside, we are very grateful to you, kind lady/sir. I'm afraid my complaints superseded a more civilized greeting, so allow me to properly introduce myself.
My name is Margrat, and I work as a specialist in propulsion engineering here in Sharlayan Hamlet.
Under the supervision of Kokkol Dankkol, my team participated in the development of not just the aetherburner, but the myriad ancillary propulsion systems of the Ragnarok.
As our assignment concerned the crux of the project, we worked in tandem with a variety of other laboratories.
My team was charged with performing analyses of the physical and aetherial phenomena to which the internal components would be subjected.
Another team calculated the necessary energy costs of all propulsion systems and proposed refinements to improve aetherial conductivity...
And yet another team drafted the plans that reconciled all our disparate findings into one cohesive image. Thus we spun our web of productivity.
Of course, a specialist is only as special as the demand for their expertise. So once the Final Days were thwarted and the threat to our lives no more, the threat to our livelihoods reared its ugly head.
Thankfully, our experience with the Ragnarok was of value to Garlond Ironworks, who offered my team the opportunity to collaborate on new airship engines. And so we live to labor another day!
True to their Garlean roots, they rely heavily on ceruleum to power their engines, but with a few adjustments raw aether can also─
...Ah, but you know all about aether's potential, don't you! Tell me, why did you need those tanks?
It's not often─or ever, really─that people come clamoring for tanks with the capacity to power an interstellar vessel. Fancied a jaunt to the moon, did you? Ha ha!
..You ripped a hole in the moon!? To forestall a voidsent invasion.
Ahahaha! Pull the other one, it's got bells on! Next you'll be claiming you're a Scion. Next stop, Ultima Thule!
...Hm? Why are you giving me that look?
..Wait. What did you say your name was?
Forename [Lastname]. Right. The very Forename [Lastname] who went to Ultima Thule with the other Scions.
..Rhalgr smite you, Theopauldin. Would it have killed you to say something!?
All of us were...were so consumed by work back then that we never got so much of a glimpse of the Scions, let alone...
And now here I am whinging to you about back pain. What a laugh...
...A-Apologies! I had no idea you were the Forename [Lastname] ! It's, uh, quite a lot to process...
Thank you for taking the time to help us.
And, um...if you're so inclined, we would be terribly grateful for your continued assistance!
Thesauros is unlikely to loosen its purse strings any time soon, and we're still in dire need of things to improve our quality of life here in Labyrinthos.
What say you? I'll make you an honorary member of our team─or better yet, my own personal gleaner!
What will you say?
The honor would be mine!
An answer fit for a hero! Glad to have you with us."
Compensation? Benefits? “Sod you, pay me,” as they say.
Spoken like a born freelancer! But to answer your questions, I could paper the city with the amount of scrips I have lying around. You have my word that we shan't leave you wanting.
Margrat is pleased with your efforts. She now considers you a Kind Collaborator!
nd yet, there is still much work to be done if the researchers of Sharlayan Hamlet are to have their myriad needs met. To that end, Margrat has a new favor to ask of you...
Pardon me...
Erm, about that request I submitted earlier...have they reached a consensus?
...All materials necessary for your current research have been allocated. Additional supplies will not be forthcoming.
O-Oh... I see...
Thus spoke the wise bureaucrats unto the obeisant workers. Tell us! What unreasonable desire did you dare voice to our overlords?
Oh, hello, Margrat.
I didn't think it was that unreasonable, all things considered. What are we supposed to do now...?
Hmm... As good a chance as any...
I do believe we have your next commission!
The despondent man you see before you is Roaring Spring, a fellow researcher formerly assigned to the Ragnarok project─albeit on a different team.
I would be much obliged if you could procure whatever it was Thesauros refused him. He's a gentle soul, deserving of far better treatment than he's received, and I think you'll find his area of expertise fascinating─if you can guess what it is, that is! Well?
Rejoice, Roaring Spring! It just so happens that we have a special offer on all things Thesauros is too parsimonious to provide.
My great and benevolent gleaner friend will be happy to deliver your unreasonable desires.
Roaring Spring: L-Like I said, I don't think it's that unreasonable, it's just... Truly?
Well then, er...
C-C-Cat food!?
O-Or treats? Toys! Anything to amuse and delight our laboratory's kitty cats!
Their comfort is our comfort─their happiness, our happiness!
Anything in bulk would be greatly appreciated!
Ahahaha! Kitty cats!? Since when did you and your colleagues become so adorable?
..A bit of a surprising request, but we can hardly fault him for his passion. See what you can come up with, and I'll be sure to pass it along!
End of cutscene.

Satisfaction Level 2

Hello, my fair gleaner! How goes the campaign of feline satisfaction?
If the player delivers Feline Recreational Device
Treats and toys seem like promising candidates, but whether your devotion will be requited for long─if at all─depends on the kitty in question. Perhaps a wad of crinkly paper or a simple box will suffice?
If the player delivers Feline Fascinators
There is a plant which can induce a state of euphoria in felines, as I recall. Failing that, there's always the classic sandbox, which cats may utilize for their, er...daily constitutionals.
If the player delivers Kitty Herring
Some cats can't eat fish, and most fish can't eat cats, but what can some cats eat that most fish can't? ...Catfish.

On Satisfaction Level 2 Completion

Cats have never struck me as particularly cheerful creatures, but even the most tenebrous tomcat will surely be moved to purr by all you've brought us. Give me a moment to present these gifts to Roaring Spring.
Start of cutscene.
Our resident cat-lover insisted that he address you personally, Forename!
I wanted to thank you for your many thoughtful donations. Their quality is astounding!
The lab cats have taken to them straightaway. Just seeing the joy writ plain upon their furry little faces has lifted the spirits of the whole team.
By the by, have you given any thought as to what sort of research Roaring Spring and his crew of cat-lovers might specialize in?
It may defy expectations, given what you've learned of them thus far, but any guesses?
Believe it or not, they are all experts in aero- and aetherdynamics─the studies of how air and aether move, respectively.
It is their comprehensive understanding of these mechanics which enabled them to devise not only the optimal form of our teeny-tiny toy boat, but that of its individual components as well.
So while we were all losing our heads over the aetherburner, Roaring Spring and his colleagues were calmly ensuring that we had somewhere to stick the damnable thing.
...Which brings me to my question: why is your laboratory overrun with felines? Did the stress finally break you?
Not as such. Our kitties are the fluffy keystones of our latest intellectual challenge.
In the aftermath of the Final Days, we received a letter from an Eorzean naturalist named Marcette, who, er...stridently implored us to investigate a rather puzzling phenomenon.
The “spontaneous flight of traditionally flightless organisms.”
Shocking, yes. Imagine an adamantoise or dhalmel suddenly rising into the air and darting away!
But while such incidents may seem queer and inexplicable, we believe we can identify the root cause. Insofar as it relates to aviation, at least.
And once we know how these aerial feats were accomplished, we can assess which subjects may be manifesting latent abilities and which ones may be outliers of one sort or another.
For her part, Marcette seems convinced that there are no outliers─that every subject was possessed of “ancestral levitational predisposition”─but regardless of the outcome, our research may revolutionize our understanding of aviation!
Indeed, even with my limited expertise, I can see the potential...
Naturally, our first step was to observe flight-gifted samples in captivity. And among those we collected, we found...it.
An enormous flying kitty cat!
Such grace! Such beauty! How could the air and aether not embrace you? How could the laws of nature not contort themselves to cradle your winsome curves!?
Yet a mystery it remains. A fabulous, fluffy mystery. One to which we will devote our waking days to unravel.
...That's wonderful, Roaring Spring! I hope you all find fulfillment in both your pioneering research and your kitties' care.
Thank you, Margrat. I know we shall.
And thank you, my friend. We are fortunate to have been aided by such an accomplished gleaner.
Yes, well. “Gleaner” may have been the term I used to describe him/her for simplicity's sake, but truth be told, her/she isn't of the guildship.
This is Forename Surname. One of the Scions who went aboard the Ragnarok.
...What?
So I've been waxing poetic about kitty cats to...no, commissioning kitty goods from...
I-If you'll excuse me! ...Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
...I'll, er. Go and check on him later.
Margrat is delighted with your efforts. She now considers you a Facilitator of Feline Felicity!
Oi, Hodge! I've come for my package. Where is it!?
...The items you requested were deemed nonessential.
Nonessential,” eh? And is my willingness to toil away in those bland biscuit boxes you call laboratories nonessential? Is my motivation nonessential!? Is it!?
...You are free to purchase whatever you like with personal funds.
You're a personal fund!
...Good one.
Ibuki? While I understand your frustration, you cannot simply unleash your concentrated ire all at once to effect a change. Nay, we must use the paymasters' methods against their agents. As they slowly grind away at our spirits, so too must we wear down Hodge.
I'll bear that in mind, Margrat. And how's your deadline looking?
I'll deadline you if you ever lead with that again!
S-Sorry, sorry. Clearly you do understand my frustration. I presume, like me, you've been trying to improve your team's working conditions, but to no avail...
Precisely why I called you over. If Thesauros is giving you the cold shoulder, we may be able to help.
What will you say?
My neck and shoulder muscles are generally warm from prodigious use.
The better for you to communicate your shared desire that none labor in misery! Huzzah!
You don't think this is going to be another cat thing, do you?
Who knows? There's no end to delightful surprises here in Labyrinthos!
You're in good hands, comrade. As an extension of our special offer, let us provide you with the conveniences Thesauros won't.
My exclusive gleaner is happy to procure anything your heart desires. You need but ask!
I'm, er...not sure what's going on, but far be it from me to look a gift chocobo in the mouth!
We would like...monsters! Fiends, feral beasts, voidsent, primals─whatever you can provide. Miniatures, that is!
Any size, style, or shape. Wood carvings, life-sized cushions, soap sculptures. Honestly, anything.
If you need specific examples, one of the Ironworks engineers is a warmachina fanatic who crafts stunningly realistic replicas. Or you might reference the more simplistic mammets created by that infamous Gridanian goldsmith.
Even if you can only manage supplies, we would be more than delighted to make our own miniatures! ...Time permitting.
Right, well─now that I've thoroughly embarrassed myself, thank you in advance, kind stranger!
Ibuki was assigned to the Ragnarok project as well. Any guesses as to what her specialty is? Let me know when you think you've figured it out─and when your first monstrous donation is ready for delivery!
End of cutscene.

Satisfaction Level 3

Oh good, you're back. I think Ibuki is growing restless, so let's surround her with darling monstrosities before she launches a second assault upon Hodge.
If the player delivers Mesmerizing Miniature
It sounds like you're free to procure anything from grotesquely realistic clay sculptures to adorable plush creatures. Let it be known that I humbly request permission to squeeze should your donation be of the latter persuasion.
If the player delivers Mesmerizing Miniature Materials
Let's give Ibuki whatever she needs to reverently whisper, “I've created a monster.” That's how we'll know we're on the right track.
If the player delivers Empyreal Spiral
Certain shells are ground into powder for their pigments, and yet others make delightful decorations as they are. The right shade or sparkle can spur the spirit into a creative frenzy!

On Satisfaction Level 3 Completion

Well, if Ibuki and her team aren't anything less than delighted, I think we may have to consider them monsters. I'll just be a moment.
Start of cutscene.
Look, I've procured something of my own! A researcher brimming with gratitude.
None of us were expecting anything remotely close to the quality of what you delivered. The whole team couldn't be happier.
Finally we'll have furnishings more inspiring than peeling wallpaper and criminally slow timepieces. I can feel my investment in the drudgery improving already!
So? What do you suppose Ibuki and her colleagues spend their time studying whilst their monstrous miniatures keep vigil?
What will you say?
Life sciences! I'd stake my life on it!
Oh, don't do that! While biologists were called in for the Ragnarok's development, they didn't belong to Ibuki's cohort. Although I can see why you might assume so.
Monster...materials?
Warm! Very warm indeed!
Have we confirmed they're not actually adventurers in disguise?
Ahahaha! Skepticism well warranted, to be sure.
Ibuki's team specializes in materials engineering, so they were tasked with deciding what the Ragnarok should be made of.
As the mission was of the greatest import, candidate materials were subjected to rigorous testing to ensure safe and reliable operation.
For instance, every component within the engines had to withstand both the heat and stress the engine itself generated, as well as whatever bumps and scrapes it might suffer during the course of the ship's journey.
However, if the durable, heat-resistant materials they chose had been too heavy or difficult to work with, our starship would have been effectively the world's largest doorstop.
So to ensure the Ragnarok could actually fly and not be reduced to fondue in the process, Ibuki and her colleagues searched high and low for materials suited to each and every part. And on the occasion they failed to find what they needed, they rolled up their sleeves and created it themselves.
People tend to be more interested in the bigger picture─by what is being made rather than what it's made of─but I've made my peace with it. It's a fairly mundane job, truth be told.
Not from where I'm standing! You and your lab are the heroes who help us realize our wildest dreams. We are forever in your debt.
Well, if you'd really like to repay the favor, you might try making a good faith effort to actually meet your deadline next time.
These days, we mostly deal in arms and armor production with external collaborators.
No matter how much you improve upon the previous model, adventurers always demand harder, better, faster, and stronger...
Which necessitates a more in-depth understanding of the circumstances which demand such performance. So we conduct simulations based on actual and theoretical experiences of veteran adventurers.
Which in turn means extensive research into the myriad monstrosities of the world! Perhaps too extensive, given how it has influenced our team.
“Influenced” being “instilled an obsession in.”"
Now whenever we see any reproduction of a monster, the potential battle begins...
Sharp claws! A lumbering blow! No, wait─toxic, molten breath! All powerless to penetrate our perfectly selected materials!
Then comes the counter─pikes piercing hardened scale! Blades carving through jets of viscous bile! Driving unimpeded towards their fleshy prize!
Aaah, I get shivers just thinking about it!
...Considering your long and storied tenure, you may have worn or wielded something developed by Ibuki's team and not even known it!
Are guildship missions so perilous these days?
…Forename Surname?
Hyaaaaaaaaaaaagh! What─ How─ Whe-huh!?
"S-S-Signature! O-On the thing you just brought me, did you sign─!?
Just your initials on the underside!? No, please! Your full name, next time! Across the front!
N-N-Name! D-Did you sign your name on what you brought!? “Collected by Forename Surname”!?
What do you mean you don't sign that sort of thing!? That's─well, no, that's fair. But...please sign something for me! Next time?
And you, Margrat! How dare you conceal such crucial information!
Just wait till the rest of the team hears about this!
Margrat is overjoyed with your efforts. She now considers you a Gracious Gleaner!
Ibuki just ran by shrieking like a jilted chocobo. Is something amiss?
...I suppose there's no telling with her. Never mind─ Hodge, I'm here to collect my supplies.
..Your request was denied. You are encouraged to recuperate at home.
Ha! That's rich.
Rich or not, that is the official answer.
...But those two have a special offer for rejected petitioners.
Why, Hodge! The very nerve of you!
Well met, Margrat. I'm glad to find you in high spirits and not your usual state of inconsolable weeping.
I believe we have yet to be acquainted. Grondilvet, systems aetherologist.
No, no, no! Grondilvet, your good breeding ruined our fun little game! I've been challenging her/his to guess who did what on the Ragnarok!
Our systems aetherologists basically ensured that, on an arcane level, the Ragnarok was easy to operate.
Each component was imbued with supplementary magick─and without having to employ overworked mages scurrying about activating geometries.
This was possible because many systems were designed to function automatically in the presence of sufficient aether. But how do you ensure the requisite quantities of aether are supplied throughout the ship?
Call in the systems aetherologists! Grondilvet's team was tasked with the development of regulators to reallocate aether as the systems dictate, so when our furry pilots engaged the throttle, the Ragnarok sped up instead of sputtering to a halt. Or exploding.
Needless to say, it is intricate work that requires a deep understanding of how a host of complex mechanisms interact. Far beyond the scope of a harried gaggle of mages.
Goodness. Your effulgent praise has my bosom all atingle.
But returning to what Hodge mentioned─you are fulfilling requests which Thesauros denies?
Why, we are indeed! My exclusive gleaner here is second to none when satisfying the needs of the needy. Take advantage of our free trial today!
Though I'm curious as to what prompted said trial, it would be foolish to reject your offer.
Very well. Might I commission some remedies for weary eyes?
Eye drops would suffice, as would items that improve circulation. Foodstuffs purported to improve visual acuity would be welcome, too.
If it may aid in the preservation or enhancement of eyesight, my team and I would welcome whatever you can provide.
Ahhh, I see! Been burning the midnight oil, have we? A man after my own heart.
Well then, my gleaning genius! Let's find this hard worker respite for his tired eyes, shall we?
End of cutscene.

Satisfaction Level 4

A pleasure as always, my lady/manlass of peerless procurement. Have you anything to soothe Grondilvet's tired eyes?
If the player delivers Energizing Eye-lixir
Eye drops may seem like the obvious solution─ha! Get it?─but if you ask me, Grondilvet might benefit as much if not more from a fluffy bed or an eye mask. A quarter-bell nap can do wonders for one's health.
If the player delivers Energizing Eye-lixir Materials
Here's a clever trick for pain relief: warm some stones or poultices and then press them to your eyes. Or neck. Or back. Or anywhere, really...
If the player delivers Sarikuyruk
Blueback fish are apparently rich in nutrients that help prevent ocular exhaustion and dry eyes. Let's hope Grondilvet and his colleagues like seafood!

On Satisfaction Level 4 Completion

Right then! I do believe we've accumulated sufficient succor for our blearily blinking comrade. I shall be back anon.
Start of cutscene.
Look! Wouldn't you say Grondilvet's eyes glimmer with renewed vitality?"
I sincerely doubt they look any different. But the efficacy of the items you provided is undeniable.
I've suffered fewer headaches, and my vision does seem clearer. I daresay this newfound comfort will enable me to execute my work with even greater precision.
You have been a boon to me and my team.
Out of curiosity, why so much intense squinting of late? It must be awfully delicate stuff to tax your eyesight so.
Indeed it is. Our current assignment is complicated─sometimes punishingly so─but we are resolved to see it through.
You see, during the ark's conversion to the Ragnarok, I spoke with Lominsan arcanists come to deliver supplies.
It wasn't long before we discovered, to our mutual delight, the uncanny similarities between arcanima and systems aetherology.
Arcane geometries were first conceived as a means to perceive and manipulate aetheric energy in specific natural environments─namely those of the south sea isles, the presumed birthplace of arcanima.
But while our regulators were designed to serve a rather different purpose, the underlying principles of their operation are more or less the same.
Now that we needn't concern ourselves with the end of civilization, we are free to engage in joint research with our friends in the Arcanists' Guild.
Sounds like our arrangement with Garlond Ironworks! What is your current objective?
We seek to incorporate analytical and conditional branching functionalities into a framework utilizing arcane geometries.
By iterating this process, we hope to produce a single, comprehensive system capable of a heretofore unrealized feat.
To wit, one capable of automatically heating foodstuffs to optimal temperature for consumption!
Wh-What did you just say!?
You mean, our days of eating cold Archon burgers would be over? Your arcane wotsit would be able to restore them to their original juicy glory!?
Mankind need never suffer cold burgers again.
Byregot has blessed you with His genius, Grondilvet! The world will never be the same after your aetheric food warmer is complete!"
You agree, don't you, Forename?"
Forename? Why is that name so familiar...
Oh dear...
Er, about that. I should have mentioned sooner, but Forename is Forename Surname of the Scions. One of the heroes who traveled aboard the Ragnarok to the end of the known universe.
...Margrat. I expected more from you, of all people. To have let me in ignorance impose upon the goodwill of such an esteemed personage─
I understand how you feel, I do. But that's why I...I just...wanted everyone to get to know her/him.
Not as a hero on a pedestal whom we would never dare to approach, but as a person, like you and me. And I wanted her/him to get to know everyone, too. The nameless faces that worked so hard to make her/his journey possible, and raised their voices in cheer at her/his triumphant return.
...I suppose we would be glad for further donations, should she/he be willing and able to oblige us. My laboratory would of course contribute to her/his due compensation, as well.
Until next time, then. ...And thank you, Forename. For everything.
Margrat could not be happier with your efforts. She now considers you an Irreplaceable Comrade!
Through your efforts, many dedicated intellectuals have found comfort and respite. It seems, however, that Margrat has something on her mind...
End of cutscene.
A new quest continuing the story of Margrat's work in Sharlayan Hamlet is now available. Upon its completion, the Custom Deliveries list for Margrat will be updated.

Satisfaction Level 5

Another day, another battle of attrition against the enemies of ingenuity. Thrice-damned misers, the lot of them. But how do you fare, my friend?
If the player delivers Researcher's Relaxation Kit
Any number of things can help facilitate relaxation─refreshing drinks, tasty snacks, mammet masseurs, you name it. All the more effective when prepared by himself/herself!
Our refreshment room is supplied with water and tea, but what could spark more joy than knowing Forename Surname has topped up our ice and replenished our leaves? Our beverages will never taste better, this I can assure you.
If the player delivers Opal Tetra
After exhausting our daily cerebral capital, we often find ourselves gazing vacantly into the abyss...but think how less ominous it would be to gaze vacantly into an aquarium filled with colorful fish! Truly the height of luxury and far better for the soul.

Item Quality

If the collectability rating is low
...Yes, this should do nicely! A timely delivery of sufficient quality. Bravo!
If the collectability rating is mid-range
...Well, well! If I were a small animal, I might be inclined to run circles around you in delight. But I'm not, so I won't. Thank you, though!
If the collectability rating is high
...Do you normally fling items of extraordinary quality to whomsoever is in need? Because such behavior may condition people to trail behind you like awestruck ducklings─myself included.
If the collectability rating is high and the Satisfaction Rank is 5
...Even after all this time, your capacity for peerless quality is astounding. How could I not break into celebratory dance? ...Embarrassing? Perish the thought!

Satisfaction Level 1

Start of cutscene.
...Hm? Why have I not returned to my lab and my other neglected responsibilities?
Never you fear; I'll tend to the perpetual bin fires just as soon as you leave. ...You're in no hurry to go, right?
End of cutscene.

Satisfaction Level 2

Start of cutscene.
I respect your dedication, Forename. Hand-delivering commissions on time and with a smile...now that's service.
Despite what others may whisper (and occasionally declare loudly within earshot), I too strive for punctuality! And were it not for the bastar─er, management stipulating such...aggressive deadlines, I might well have time for a smile or two!

Player shrugs.

End of cutscene.

Satisfaction Level 3

Start of cutscene.
Excellent, this should do us quite nicely. ...I take it you'll be going, then?
You could always stay awhile longer, you know! There's no need to rush─we could chat! Please? Everyone else is so busy and Hodge is no fun at all! ...Please?
End of cutscene.

Satisfaction Level 4

Start of cutscene.
Thanks to your tireless efforts, our quality of life here in Sharlayan Hamlet has been drastically improved.
Wouldn't you agree, Hodge? I'm sure Forename here has also spared you a modicum of grief.
...If you wish to spare me grief, you might refrain from causing it in the first place."
Oh, that Hodge. He plays coy, but there's no denying that you have done much and more to ease Thesauros's burdens.
Mark my words: if we keep peddling your services, one day Hodge will leap over his desk and wring your hand in tearful gratitude! Or perhaps just offer a genuine word of thanks!
End of cutscene.

Satisfaction Level 5

Start of cutscene.
Hodge! Have I mentioned in the past bell just how much Forename here has single-handedly improved the state of Labyrinthos with her/his contributions?"
Roaring Spring and Ibuki and Grondilvet and all their teams─and a great number of other researchers besides─have showered her/him with a veritable deluge of praise.
Now it's your turn! One word, just one tiny little word of appreciation on behalf of Thesauros! Let's hear it!
...I process requests. I do not issue public statements.
...It may not seem like it, but we're making progress! We'll coax a heartfelt expression of gratitude from him yet!
Trust me, I've been bothering Hodge for years now; he's like an old, musty tome I've read cover to cover a dozen times. I see all the subtleties between the lines. So let's keep up the good work, Forename!
End of cutscene.

Unknown Trigger

Start of cutscene.
Forename, there's been a development...
According to Theopauldin, we've seen significantly increased returns from each and every laboratory here in Labyrinthos.
An external assessment might conclude that the projects we began in the wake of the Final Days have simply begun to yield results. That our labors were bound to bear fruit eventually. But we all know better.
We know that our increased productivity─not to mention sunny morale─is largely thanks to you, my industrious friend.
Which means that Hodge is now obligated to say something nice, if only out of basic decency!
..The gratitude I must express is threefold.
First, for the safe return of you and your fellow Scions to the star.
Second, for the procurement of resources that Thesauros has been reluctant to provide. And third, for your social and moral support of the researchers here.
...It warms my heart to see them happy.
Hodge, you─! H-How dare you force me to weep tears of gratitude in your s-stead, you sneak! You c-crafty gil-pincher! You emotional capitalist! <sob>
