Spell Speed
Spell Speed is a secondary attribute that affects both the casting and recast timers of spells (but not abilities or weaponskills). The higher the value, the shorter the global cooldown timer.
It also affects the damage-over-time potency for spells, and the damage-over-time potency for abilities that deal magic damage.
Furthermore, it affects the healing-over-time potency for spells, weaponskills, and abilities.
While higher Spell Speed is a DPS improvement, the reduced recast times can interfere with the alignment of the player's rotation with the 2-minute raid buffs and burst damage. Due to this, builds with Spell Speed will increase it until a desired recast time is reached, and then further Spell Speed is strictly avoided. The lack of effect on ability recast times also renders the attribute less useful for jobs that rely heavily on abilities.
