Skill Speed

Affects both the casting and recast timers, as well as the damage over time potency for weaponskills and auto-attacks (but not abilities or spells). The higher the value, the shorter the global cooldown timer/higher the potency.

While higher Skill Speed is a DPS improvement, the reduced recast times can interfere with the alignment of the player's rotation with the 2-minute raid buffs and burst damage. That being the case, Skill Speed is increased until a desired recast time is reached, and then further Skill Speed is strictly avoided. The lack of effect on abilities also renders the attribute less useful for jobs that rely heavily on them.
