Armoire

The Armoire is an infinite-capacity storage for certain pieces of gear. It is functionally similar to the Glamour Dresser, in that stored items can be used in Glamour Plates.
However, there are some differences:
- Items can be stored in the armoire free of charge, as opposed to requiring one Glamour Prism per item stored.
- Items stored in the armoire will not retain any applied dye colors.
- There is no capacity limit for the armoire. Duplicates cannot be stored.
- Only certain developer-defined items are eligible to be stored. Eligibility is indicated by an icon on the item's screen, as shown in the image to the right.
Due to the lack of capacity limit, gear that can be stored in the armoire generally should be stored in it.
An armoire can be found in any Inn Room. There is also a craftable version of the Armoire available for Player Housing.
Eligibility patterns

Generally speaking, the armoire allows for storing the following types of gear:
- Gear from sources external to the game, such as:
- The Final Fantasy XIV Online Store.
- Pre-order bonuses and collector's editions.
- Veteran Rewards.
- Promotions and item codes.
- Gear from Seasonal Events.
- Quest-exclusive gear rewards (but not all of them).
- Achievement rewards.
- Artifact Armor. For level 60+, the matching weapons and tools can also be stored.
- For A Realm Reborn: Augmented Artifact Armor and the Mythology Armor are also included.
- For Heavensward: Artifact weapons are included, but since they not given by job quests, they must be purchased using
Centurio Seals instead. - For Stormblood: All stages of the armor are included, from Antiquated all the way through Anemos. The weapons are included from Antiquated through Anemos, but higher tiers are not included.
- For Shadowbringers: Both the Weathered and Idealized versions are included.
- All stages of Mastercraft Tools.
- Almost all Blue Mage gear of Blue rarity, including weapons and accessories purchased from Maudlin Latool Ja (but excluding the Exquisite Gentlemage's Umbrella). Basic rarity gear is not included.
- Certain job-specific gear from PvP, specifically the Tropaios Weapons (but excluding the Viper and Pictomancer weapons), Virtu Armor, Pack Weapons and Armor, and Packliege Weapons and Armor. However, the matching accessories cannot be stored.
- Gear from Dungeons that were introduced in Patch 7.0 onwards. (Support for older dungeons will be added over time.)
- Gear from Legacy events.
