This self-proclaimed "knower of all things" was once ruler of Shades' Triangle. Devoted to preserving the fallen civilizations of the Fifth Astral Era, and with an army of familiars at his command, the archmagus spent ages untold overseeing the Occult Crescent from within its central facility: the Tower of Magic. When intruders breached his chamber, he fought them valiantly, wielding peerless command over the elements and other legendary weapons long sealed, but ultimately met with defeat.

• This enemy is a reference to Omniscient, one of the two bosses in the Fork Tower dungeon in Final Fantasy V. This enemy uses Flare as a raidwide attack, which is a reference to it being the guardian of the Flare spell in that game.
• Similar to the Magitaur, the weapons that this enemy wields are references to four of the legendary Sealed Weapons from Final Fantasy V, specifically Yoichi's Bow, Gaia's Bell, Apollo's Harp, and a katana (either the Masamune or Sasuke's Katana).
• Several of Index's attacks are themed after various phantom job actions.
