Tips

A Gold Dustfish will always display a ! within roughly 3-6 seconds of using

Cast. While keeping

Patience II up, simply cast, count to 5, and if a ! hasn't yet shown, reel the cast in with a standard

Hook and cast again. Use

Precision Hookset on every bite within the first 5 seconds, and most of the catches will be the Gold Dustfish, making completion of this stage of the relic quite fast.

Note that the other weak bites (!) are the

Shadow Crabs and

Desert Dustfish which are hooked at roughly 6-12 seconds. Due to the overlap at 6 seconds this is why it's best to go for the Gold Dustfish that bite earliest.
