Notes
This is based on one of the Grand Prize winners for the Samurai category of the 2022 Weapon Design Contest. The design was made by oluris, and the original submission was titled "彼岸此岸" ("Bǐ'àn cǐ'àn"/"Higan Shigan", or "This Shore, The Other Shore"). The name seems to refer to a concept in Buddhism where "This Shore" is the world of suffering that most people live in, while "The Other Shore" is the realm of Buddha where people can achieve Nirvana.[1]
