Hostile sylphs who would rather see the Twelveswood burn before making peace with the people of Gridania have begun using their forbidden magicks to charm the forest's creatures into doing their bidding. Temporarily enhanced by the spells, these turned creatures now possess the ability to enfeeble their victims with terrible poisons and wide-reaching attacks.

Only by slaying the renegade sylph leader Briaxio of the Well will the creatures' minds be freed.

— In-game description

All's Well that Ends in the Well is a level 25 guildhest introduced in patch 2.0. It is practice for managing multiple mobs or attacking parties.

Objective

Find Briaxio of the Well and silence the foul hex weaver!

Enfeebling effects suffered by party members can be cured by using items or the spell Esuna. It may prove useful to divide your party into two units─one concentrating its efforts on slaying Briaxio, the other focusing on dealing with the charmed creatures. Guide

After defeating 3 groups of mobs, containing of Domesticated Banemite, Fachan, Sylph Pillow and Sylvan Sough, you will encounter Briaxio of the Well, the mini-boss of this guildhest.

Through the fight, this sylph boss will spawn 5 groups of adds. Crowd control and kill the adds as soon as possible. Some of the adds will inflict debuffs, notably:

  • The Sylvan Soughs (fairies) will inflict Silence, which prevents magic users from attacking.
  • The Sylvan Pillows (slugs) will inflict Pacification, which prevents physical users from attacking.
  • Briaxio can also inflict Paralysis, which periodically interrupts actions.

The healer should watch for these debuffs, and remove them with Esuna as soon as possible.

  • If damage needs to be directed to adds, make sure to place damage over time (dots) onto the boss first before redirecting damage.

Healer Mechanics

If the tank is extremely low in health and has a debuff - heal the tank once before cleansing the debuff, and then use Esuna on the tank. Top off the tank as much as possible as damage can potentially add up quickly in this fight.

Loot

Reward: Experience 2,060 experience, Gil 140 gil

Dialogue

Beware! The foul poisons of these creatures will disrupt your humours and send your body into fits.
Time is of the essence. If you have something to ask, make it quick.
Confirm that each of your allies knows his role. One misstep could mean a man poisoned, paralyzed...or worse!
Use the spell Esuna to your advantage! And if that fails you, a good old antidote will often do the trick.
Without an ally to draw his magicks away from the others, Briaxio will unleash his bane on all of you!
Fellow creatures! Come, follow this one!
Do not let the poisons overwhelm you! Use the time between battles to purge the toxins from your veins.
Briaxio's followers have rushed to his aid! Send several of your allies to drive off the reinforcements while those remaining keep Briaxio under control.

This one angers...

This one will suffer at the hands of the grounded ones no more!
The guildhest is complete! Come and collect your reward.
The operation was a success! Here's your payment, and for your efforts, I've thrown in a little extra, so that you may consider returning to aid us once again.
