Stone 80 Boss

Being hit by avoidable AoEs will likely kill non-tanks, so players may wish to use a Pomander of Steel or Barkbalm Incense for extra survivability. However, there are some mechanics that, if failed, will kill players regardless. Try to keep the boss centered when possible to make some mechanics easier to dodge.

  • Roaring Ring or Perilous Lair: The beast's whiskers begin to glow... The boss will brandish its whiskers either to its front or back, indicating a late-telegraphed 180 degree cleave (Profane Waul) in that direction. This goes off at the same time as a donut or point-blank AoE based on the cast name. Being hit by these will inflict a heavy but cleansable bleed.
    • Roaring Ring: A late-telegraphed donut AoE with melee range safe.
    • Perilous Lair: A late-telegraphed large point-blank AoE.
  • Stalking Static: Party-wide magical damage and summons multiple lightning orbs that will tether to each other in a swirl pattern, starting from the middle. A series of narrow, late-telegraphed line AoEs will transmit between the orbs starting inside, and the last orb will explode as a massive late-telegraphed circle AoE that inflicts paralysis. Get directly opposite it at the wall.
  • Prowling Death: Party-wide magical damage and gives each player one of two debuffs:
    • Nowhere to Run: Death approaches all who dare tread forth... A stacking debuff that increases based on movement. If it reaches 8 stacks, the player will die. The debuff expires after 17 seconds.
    • Shadow of Death: All who deny Light are condemned to death... The player must be hit with the boss's next whisker cleave to cleanse the debuff, or they will die when the debuff timer expires.
  • The boss then uses another Roaring Ring or Perilous Lair combined with the glowing whisker cleave while the debuffs are active.
    • Anyone with Nowhere to Run must avoid both AoEs while limiting the distance they move.
    • Anyone with Shadow of Death must avoid the donut/point-blank AoE but be hit by the 180 degree cleave, which will deal negligible damage.
