- This enemy is a reference to Azulmagia from Final Fantasy V, a boss encountered in the Interdimensional Rift and an omni-user of blue magic.
- Azulmagia was also previously encountered in FFXIV as a Masked Carnivale boss and part of the Blue Mage Quests.
