His in-game quote would indicate he has a poor opinion of Rhodina, Rowena's shard from the the same reflection.
Genolt seems to have a penchant for extremely potent energy drinks, as seen in 
Gives You Teeth. A firework-type item replicating that effect can be had from Treasure Hunting: 
DAM. This may also be a reference to Gerolt's alcoholism.
