Embolden (PvP) is an action unlocked at level 30. It is available for Red Mage.

Gameplay

Red Mages should always have this action available for opening engagements due to the mitigation it provides, and access to Prefulgence. Prefulgence is red mage's highest single hit outside of their limit break, in addition to its ability to heal themselves and teammates around the initial target.

History

• Patch 7.3 (2025-08-05): Graphical effects have been adjusted to improve visibility.
• Patch 7.11 (2024-11-26):
  • Increase to damage dealt has been reduced from 10% to 8%.
  • Reduction to damage taken has been reduced from 10% to 8%.
• Patch 7.1 (2024-11-12):
  • Re-added with entirely reworked effects.
  • Recast time has been reduced from 60 to 24 seconds.
  • Effect radius has been increased from 15 to 30 yalms.
  • The damage buff falloff "effect is reduced by 2% every 3s" has been removed.
  • Now reduces damage taken by 10% of self and allies within range to compensate for the removal of Magick Barrier (PvP).
  • The duration of the increased damage dealt has been reduced from 15 to 8 seconds.
  • The additional effect "Grants Prefulgence Ready" has been added with a duration of 15 seconds.
