This armored vehicle built by the nation of Lindblum in the final years of the Storm Surge operates autonomously by way of an arcane entity housed in the engine. Designed to transport war-beasts to battle, it ended up speeding across the continent for centuries with a horde of fiends in its wake.
Doomtrain is a boss in Hell on Rails.

- This enemy is a reference to the Doomtrain Guardian Force from Final Fantasy VIII.
- In both Japanese and French versions of Final Fantasy XIV, this boss is named "Glasya-Labolas" (グラシャラボラス), as the boss was also named that way in the Japanese and French versions of Final Fantasy VIII.
- Another boss from the Syrcus Tower alliance raid is also named Glasya-Labolas.
