Lore

As you know, the president traced his lineage to Lindblum. His ancestor was a noble of that lost kingdom, and a patron of the theatrical arts.

And it seems the president inherited his forebear's passion. For in a single generation, he revived the long-forgotten Ascension Arcadia and transformed it into the premier enterprise for entertainment in Alexandria.

Alas, that revival came at a terrible price: psychonekrosis. The emergence of this terminal disease pained the president to no end, and in order to cure the fighters, he ultimately chose to make the greatest sacrifice.

With his love for theater, he had originally pursued a career as a stage actor. I daresay none was better suited to the part of the villainous president.

To perform the role of a lifetime on the grand stage that is the Arcadion may well have been a fulfillment of his heart's desire.

What's more, in no small part thanks to you, the Arcadion is no longer dependent on feral souls to deliver thrills. Wherever the president is now, I am sure he has no regrets.

The president was personally responsible for the recruitment of several members of the Arcadion such as;

Brute Bomber

Unable to fit into any of the jobs he was introduced to, and getting up to all manner of mischief with his childhood friend Retsarra, he was recruited by the president alongside Retsarra.

Howling Blade

Before becoming a fighter, he was a hunter known for his unparalleled skill with the blade. Word ultimately reached the president, who recruited him to Ascension Arcadia.

Dancing Green

Recruited by the president when he assured Eheeya that despite the mans lack of training and experience, that with the aid of feral souls, his killer choreography would more than suffice.

Red Hot & Deep Blue

Recruited by the president after they were kicked out of competitive surfing. The pair readily agreed, using their established stage names. The president seemed to understand how best to capitalize on their prowess─not as individual combatants, but together as the Xtremes.

The Tyrant

Recruited by the president, though initially rejected by Arkose, the president of the Arcadion saw his hunger for more. By appealing to Arkose's dissatisfaction and desire for ever greater battles, Arkose agreed to join the Arcadion.

He debuted Arkose initially as Masked Justice.

When the former grand champion prior to Masked Justice and other veteran fighters of the Arcadion were struck down in succession by Psychonekrosis, the president was inconsolable in the face of their affliction. He viewed the fault as lying with himself, and decided that it was only just that the fighters be cured by him as well.

The president spared no effort. Together with Origenics, he resumed abandoned research into the regenerative properties of the Lindwurm, a legendary serpent native to his own ancestral home of Lindblum. Having inherited the egg of such a beast, he voluntarily infused himself with its soul, that it might grant him similar healing abilities with which he could aid his ailing combatants. The president had only dared to use the Lindwurm when faced with an insurmountable dearth of solutions. There were no others.

The transfiguration was a success. In becoming the indomitable wyrm, the president gained miraculous powers of regeneration─powers applicable only to his own, bestial flesh. The Lindwurm quickly overwhelmed him, possessing his body and preventing reversion to his natural form. As the ravenous creature began to feed upon his very soul, the president hid himself away. By no less than a miracle, the president's apparatus had survived his transformation, allowing his remaining consciousness to communicate through the machinery. He tasked Arkose with slaying him in order to use the lindwurms heart to develop a cure for psychonekrosis. Though Arkose was hesitant, he ultimately attempted and failed to slay the president due to the strength of his new form and its regenerative properties.

By order of the president, the existence of psychonekrosis was concealed from the public. Afflicted fighters were immortalized, their bodies put in stasis to slow the effects of degradation.

It was not until the arrival of the unenhanced warrior that the president would find one able to slay him and enact his plan to cure the fighters of the Arcadion. Working alongside Metem, he concealed his true goal, instead playing the part of a villain while having Metem describe him often as such. He had Metem offer to release the souls of past champions the Arcadion used in order to create allies for the unenhanced warrior each time they were victorious to get the unenhanced warrior to agree to join the Arcadion.

Later, when Wicked Thunder unexpectedly appeared in order to try and take the unenhanced warriors soul to develop a cure for psychonekrosis, he intervened by allowing a special exhibition match. After the defeat of Wicked Thunder, the president would later be confronted by Brute Bomber about psychonekrosis, with the president denying everything. The president sanctioned a grudge match between Brute Bomber and and the unenhanced warrior─with one condition. In order to stand a chance, Brute Bomber would have to inject multiple feral souls for the fight, leading to the Brute Abominator. Unbeknownst to the unenhanced warrior, the president had given him less-potent souls for the bout. When the battle ended, the president secretly had Hector taken to an infirmary to make a full recovery.

The president then had Eutrope and Neyuni kidnapped and used as hostages as a safeguard against further deviations. Secretly, he had moved Eutrope to cold stasis in order to prevent her from succumbing to psychonekrosis until a cure was found. He revealed that he was aware of psychonekrosis and had a method to cure it. He demanded that the unenhanced warrior continue fighting at the Arcadion, and also never again meddle with his script. He confirmed that If the challenger became Grand Champion, the Arcadions soul repository would be at their disposal, and he would even disclose the location of the supposed Drop of Life, the cure to psychonekrosis.

With the defeat of Red Hot and Deep Blue at the hands of the unenhanced warrior, and a match with The Tyrant for the Heavyweight Championship upcoming, the president freed Neyuni. Once the unenhanced warrior defeated The Tyrant and became the Heavyweight Champion of the Arcadion, the president requested a personal audience with them. Still hiding his true goal, he publicly challenged the unenhanced warrior to a battle for the Grand Championship and revealed his true form as the Lindwurm, all while portraying himself as a villain still.

Finally defeated by the unenhanced warrior, the president was able to regenerate while Metem explained the truth of the presidents plans and actions, as well as him secretly working alongside the president the entire time. Despite the presidents regeneration, he was defeated once more by the combined efforts of the fighters of the Arcadion that the unenhanced warrior had fought previously all battling the Lindwurm together. With this second defeat, the Lindwurm was slain and a cure for psychonekrosis was created from his heart.
