Dancing Green: H-Hey, baby! ...Phew, it's you. Dancing Green: Look, don't tell anyone you found me here getting all misty-eyed, alright? My party animal image couldn't survive the blow. Dancing Green: Truth is, I grew up around here. When I feel overwhelmed or lost, I come back and think of the old days, when I'd gather debris and dream up silly dreams...
Lore
Born outside of the Everkeep under the name Eheeya, Dancing Green was raised by a Shetona native to Yyasulani before the Dome's appearance. His mother always telling him about the sun that used to shine above before the dome's appearance[1]
At a young age, he would work as a reforger assisting his mother in scavenging debris from the Everkeep. In these times, Dancing Green and his mother only lived within a tent.[1]
His father, who had been absent in his life until then and was unknown to Dancing Green, took him to Solution Nine to show him "a real party". In this party Dancing Green would come to view the Disco Ball as the sun his mother had spoken so much about. With his fathers encouragement, the young Dancing Green would begin dancing for the first time, sparking his passion in partying and dancing both. It was not until after this event that Dancing Green learned the Shetona man was actually his father, the man having abandoned him and his mother for the Everkeep, Shetona custom being that the mother always raise the child. Dancing Green's father did not stick around, quickly leaving once more and never visiting again.[1]
The spark lit, Dancing Green would continue to dance throughout the years as he grew. Even going as far as doing so in secret. At the age of fifteen however, his mother urged him to go to the Everkeep and pursue his passion for dancing. With only the clothes on his back, Dancing Green arrived at the Everkeep and was assigned an apartment and employment. He quickly became a backup-dancer for a well known musical performer. [1]
While working as a backup-dancer and enjoying his newfound success, Dancing Green would be approached with an offer to join The Arcadion as a fighter. He was hesitant at first, as he was not a trained fighter, but was assured that the use of feral souls and his ability at dancing choreography would be more than enough. Unable to resist the biggest stage in Solution Nine, Dancing Green accepted.[1]
As he fought, over time, he became tired of his life as Dancing Green the party animal. Feeling he had nobody he could speak to, he would return to his mothers tent, where she was not present. Fearing her death briefly, he was reassured by the presence of his father in the tent, who told him his mother had left the Dome through Vanguard to go see the sun once more. His father, now residing in the tent, had stayed behind as he preferred life in the Dome. After a conversation with his father, Dancing Green was reassured of his passion in life and his unique bond with both his parents.[1]
Trivia
- Dancing Green's true name is Eheeya. It means "flower" in the Shetona's native tongue[2]
- Dancing Green's mannerisms and way of speech are identical to his father, using the same funky groovy style.
