Notes

• The barrier from The Blackest Night is given priority when taking damage. This is to increase the odds of granting Dark Arts.

• Other priority barrier effects, such as those from Radiant Aegis and Eukrasian Diagnosis from Eukrasian Dosis III will stack with and take priority over TBN's barrier. This may cause an unwanted interaction wherein Dark Arts is not granted if all barriers are not absorbed in time.

• This barrier can be given to party members.

  • Barrier duration has been reduced from 10 to 8 seconds.
  • Now a charged action with a maximum of 2 charges.
  • Recast time has been increased from 15 to 16 seconds.
• Patch 6.11 (2022-04-25): Recast time has been reduced from 20 to 15 seconds.
• Patch 6.1 (2022-04-12):
  • Potency of shield has been increased from 3,000 to 8,000.
  • The effect "Consume Dark Arts instead of MP to execute Edge of Shadow or Flood of Shadow" has been changed to "Consume Dark Arts instead of HP to execute Shadowbringer".
• Patch 5.2 (2020-02-18): MP cost has been reduced from 2,500 to 0.

  • Barrier strength has been changed from 20% of maximum HP to the equivalent of a heal of 3,000 potency.
  • Dark Arts effect now applies to Flood of Shadow.

  • The effect "Increases Blood Gauge by 20 when full 20% is absorbed" has been changed to "Grants Dark Arts when full 20% is absorbed."
