Notes

• Prior to Edge of Shadow and Flood of Shadow being learned at Lv. 74, Dark Arts will instead interact with Edge of Darkness or Flood of Darkness.
• The barrier granted is called Blackest Night.

Gameplay

• Within the same party, dark knights should avoid applying The Blackest Night on each other, as the barriers will not stack.
• The barrier of Blackest Night has a higher priority compared to other barriers when taking damage, to better increase the odds of receiving Dark Arts. For more information, see barrier consumption priority.

History

• Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02):
  • Barrier absorption has been changed from 20% of maximum HP for self or 10% of maximum HP for party members, to 25% of maximum HP for any target.
  • The effect "Increases Blood Gauge by 50 when full 20% (10%) is absorbed" has been changed to "Grants Dark Arts when barrier is completely absorbed."
• Patch 4.2 (2018-01-30): Effect duration has been increased from 5 to 7 seconds.
• Patch 4.0 (2017-06-20): Added.
