Garlean
Garleans are a race of people who hail from Ilsabard. Nearly all of them are coming from the Nation of Garlemald.
History
Originally hailing from Corvos, the people born Garlean were chased out from the southern coast and needed to migrate north. In 1517 of the Sixth Astral Era, Garlemald become an Empire. From the northern parts of Ilsabard, the Garlean Empire started conquering other nations.
Characteristics
Full-blooded individuals of the Garlean race can be easily identified by their third eye. This organ resembles a pearl, and grants pureblood Garleans a superior spatial recognition. They are incapable of wielding Aether-based magick, and instead utilize ceruleum-powered Magitek[1].
The term "Garlean" can also refer to someone, of any race, who is affiliated with the Garlean Empire.
