Reports indicate the difficult-to-access northwestern and southeastern fringes of Sinus Ardorum are abundant in rare resources. Researchers have theorized that these mineral deposits are like to be remnants of the meteorite impact that first formed the crater, and therefore highly durable. Indeed, samples gleaned thus far have proven this without exception. Given the value of such resources in starship construction and other engineering works, we request the swift recovery of high quality materials from these areas.

EX+: Rare Material Extraction is a Class A weather-restricted Stellar Mission in Sinus Ardorum. It requires Botanist to complete.

Objectives

  • Obtain the specified number of reduced items as quickly as possible.
  • More time remaining will earn a higher score.
  • Number Required: 35
  • Time Limit: 5 min

Score tiers

  • Silver: At least 1:30 remaining
  • Gold: At least 2:10 remaining

Strategy

  Stellar Reduction is an ability that is used on gathered Collectable items. (It is an alternate version of   Aetherial Reduction that is available during missions.)

  • Maximizing collectability significantly increases the number of reduced items you receive from reduction.
  • Moving while completing an automatic reduction will cancel the next reduction. Manually initiating reduction from the menu is not interrupted by movement, so you can do this while moving between nodes.
  • Stellar Reduction cannot be executed while mounted.
  • If you have Aetherial Reduction to a hotbar (from Actions & Traits > General), it will change to Stellar Reduction during a mission. (This may be an easier way for you to begin Stellar Reduction.)
