Lore
From Greek mythology: the Cyclopes, Arges (bright), Brontes (thunder), and Steropes (lightning), and the Hecatoncheires, Cottus (the furious), Briareus (or Aegaeon, the sea goat), and Gyges (or Gyes, the long-limbed), were the offspring of Uranus and Gaia. According to tradition they were imprisoned in Tartarus by their father, Uranus. They were later released by their brother, Cronus, and aided him in overthrowing Uranus as ruler of the cosmos - before again being cast into Tartarus. They were again released and aided Zeus in overthrowing the Titans. They are most notable for making for Zeus his characteristic weapon, the thunderbolt.
