Journal
Erenville regards the pile of timber with undisguised weariness.
Rather than remain idle, Erenville suggests moving the timber somewhere more easily accessible. You brace your back and prepare for a little heavy lifting.
With a heave and a ho, you take up a crate full to bursting with timber. Thankfully the main road is not terribly far.
No sooner do you set down the last of the timber than Wawlika arrives with Shenza, Zawpya, and a rroneek in tow. They insist you go and wait at the train station while they see to the timber's delivery.
Erenville welcomes you back to the station, hopeful that you have had your fill of the sights of Shaaloani. He invites you to wait with him and watch the train as it departs.
The skies over Shaaloani suddenly grow dark, and with a thunderous boom a giant dome appears in the distance. A moment later, flying warships emerge from its murky depths, and upon realizing that they are heading for Tuliyollal, you and Erenville hasten back to the capital. You arrive in a city embroiled in chaos, with mysterious soldiers in the streets slaughtering innocents seemingly at random. Once reunited with Wuk Lamat, the Dawnservant explains that the enemy forces appeared out of nowhere and attacked without provocation. Together with Erenville, the three of you make your way towards the palace, and there find Gulool Ja Ja locked in mortal combat with a transformed Zoraal Ja. The hardened warrior proves no match for his father, but through the use of an unknown power, he not only revives himself, but manages to deal Gulool Ja Ja a fatal blow.
※In the event that you leave the area and wish to return, speak with the guard keeping watch at the entrance to Sunperch.
A hush falls over the throne room as all present realize Gulool Ja Ja is moments from his end. It remains to be seen if aught can be done to save the former Dawnservant...

Dialogue
We must talk again soon. Next time, perhaps, on a hunt together.
You'll come back, won't you? There's so much I'd like to know about the lands beyond Tural.
While we wait, we could get started moving the timber somewhere more accessible.
It shouldn't take long if we split the work.
What are a few logs compared to the nigh-countless crates of Labyrinthos.
Pick up the crate of rough-cut timber.
Deliver the crate of timber to the main road.
You will have two minutes to complete the task. Should you fail, return to the starting location and begin anew.
Carry the timber from Mehwahhetsoan to the main road.
Carry the crate of rough-cut timber to the designated location.
Start of cutscene.
I should think this will be enough.
That was mighty kind of you to move all that lumber. Sorry we didn't make it back sooner.
We'll see to the rest.
Once we've repaired the tracks, we'll have you on the first train out of town. Ain't that right, chief?
Er... As much as I'd love to make it so, there aren't any spots available.
You'll have to wait for the one after, I'm afraid, but you'll be riding free of charge. It's the least we can do to repay your kindness.
That's fine. Namikka and no few others were here long before we arrived. It's only right they go before us.
I hope you'll stop by and see the train off.
It's a breathtaking sight, let me tell you!
And Nitowikwe will be driving! No engineer compares to her, and it's always a treat to watch her work!
The only work we should be worried about is our own, Shenza. And we've still more to do.
I'll find somewhere quiet near the station to pass the time. If there's anything else in Shaaloani you're keen to see, I'll leave you to it.
End of cutscene.
We'll handle the rest of the work from here. You just sit tight now!
My thanks again for your timely assistance. Won't be long now before the tracks are fixed and you're on your way.
It'll be good to have the train running again. I missed the sound of her barreling down the tracks.
Had your fill of the sights? Well, they appear to have almost finished...
Upon proceeding, several cutscenes will play in sequence.
It is recommended that you set aside sufficient time to view these scenes in their entirety.
Wait for the train to depart from the station? (Yes/No)
Start of voiced cutscene.
A glorious, grand machine indeed... I hope Namikka was able to secure a seat.
The train departs for Yyasulani.
Thanks to you, we managed to resume service much faster than anticipated. You have our gratitude.
Ahhh, there's nothing so enchanting as a ceruleum-powered engine in motion!
Ain't that the truth. Don't think I'll ever tire of watching them chugging along. They make wagons look like toys.
And so long as we can lay the tracks, she can go on and on and on. Before you know it, she'll be crossing the entire continent!
Railroads are a somewhat recent addition to Tural. As it stands, we can only ferry folks as far as Yyasulani.
And from an operational standpoint, we still have much to learn. There's always some problem or another to deal with.
But we'll keep working at it. We'll hone our craft and continue expanding till, one day, our trains are running coast-to-coast. That's the ultimate dream.
End of cutscene.
Start of voiced cutscene.
Goodness, I completely lost track of time. By now, I expect the train will be nearing Yyasulani.
When it returns, we'll see you on your way. So if you've got any preparations to make, you'd better make 'em quick.
A rumbling is heard, and lightning appears in the sky.
A massive dome of lightning has appeared in the distance.
What in the flying─ What's happening!?
The train! Nitowikwe and the others!
My home lies that way as well...
We're going to investigate─right now!
A massive airship emerges from the dome, along with several smaller craft made of advanced technology.
What in the world... Are they heading for Tuliyollal!?
What will you say?
We need to get back right away!
We need to follow that airship!
End of cutscene.
Start of voiced cutscene.
At Tuliyollal, the player and Erenville find the city is being attacked by the unknown army.
You're here! Good, good─they came from the sky and attacked without any warning.
The people need our help!
The player's allies fight the mechanical soldiers and heal the injured.
Try to remain calm, everyone!
I don't know what they are...but they're not men!
Someone help me! Please!
Ugh...
Peshiwa is killed by the mechanical soldier.
The Landsguard soldier is killed by the mechanical soldier. It then siphons two orbs from Peshiwa.
Bakool Ja Ja protects a boy from a mechanical soldier.
Save the thanks─just get to safety!
I'll hold the line here! Fall back to the palace!
Quickly, before it's overrun!
Hmph.
This is simply how I do things now.
So, who wants to taste my blade next!?
End of cutscene.
Start of voiced cutscene.
Within the throne room, Gulool Ja Ja confronts Zoraal Ja, who is in armor made from advanced technology. Ketenramm is watching.
That you should still live.
By the gods... What has happened to you?
This is your butchery, isn't it?
After everything you've done in service to the throne, how could you betray us!?
My demand is simple: the dissolution of Tuliyollal and surrender of all its territories.
Refuse, and I will kill every last one of you.
No. My ambition remains unchanged.
To teach the masses the folly of war that they cry out for peace, and thus unite the world.
What has changed you so much, and in so short a time?
To harm the very people you swore to serve...
This is an unforgivable deed─committed by my son! My son !
Zoraal Ja destroys the throne.
You have heard my ultimatum.
And you will have my answer...
By my hands, I will end your madness.
Papa, wait! I should be the one to do this!
No. His sins are mine to bear.
Fear not. While Zoraal Ja is strong, he has never been Father's equal in combat.
I believed you long dead. To have the chance to kill you myself is an unforeseen blessing.
Zoraal Ja and Gulool Ja Ja clash.
Farewell, Zoraal Ja, my son... And forgive me...
Gulool Ja Ja strikes down Zoraal Ja. However, a strange device on his head glows, and Zoraal Ja is revived.
Despite his old age, the mighty Gulool Ja Ja remains a fearsome foe indeed.
You retain the vitality of two souls despite the passing of one.
I shall even the odds.
The device on Zoraal Ja Ja's head glows red, and he empowers himself. They clash again, and Zoraal Ja impales Gulool Ja Ja.
Even the blessed are mortal...
Alphinaud and Krile attempt to heal Gulool Ja Ja.
Wuk Lamat charges at Zoraal Ja but is parried.
Murderer! On my honor as Vow of Resolve, I'll make you pay!
Wuk Lamat clashes with Zoraal Ja again.
So the once faint-hearted girl would live up to her title.
Very well. If only to demonstrate the disparity between us, I give you a chance to prove yourself.
Rally the entirety of your strength. Lay siege to my kingdom.
Strike me down, like I did Father. Then will you be his worthy successor.
My warships will remain in your skies.
When you fail to prove your worth, I shall order them to lay waste to Tuliyollal.
Choose your next steps wisely.
End of cutscene.
We did everything we could. Everything... But it simply wasn't enough...
I can scarcely believe my eyes...
Father, no! This cannot be!
Leaving Sunperch and returning
Do you have business at Sunperch?
Enter Sunperch? (Yes/No)
No... Papa can't die... He can't...
