Special chat characters

From Final Fantasy XIV Online Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Chat messages and other in-game text can contain a number of special characters specific to Final Fantasy XIV. These are Unicode characters from the Private Use Area; they have no designated appearance or meaning outside of the game, and display as broken text in most other contexts. A special font is used to render these characters correctly on the Lodestone, as well as on this wiki.
