Trivia
- As revealed in the Chronicles of Light short stories, one of Zenos's tutors was a Corvosi practitioner of the Unyielding Blade.[1] The Lone Swordmaster encounter (and the Corvosi Folklore Record) include several references to this.
- The Swordmaster uses Concentrativity as a knockback attack, similar to Zenos during his encounters in Stormblood.
- In
Another Merchant's Tale, the line that the Swordmaster says during her enrage ("Sadly, the dead do not learn. They sleep.") is taken from one of Zenos's tutor's lines in the short story. - Entry #11 in the Corvosi Folklore Record echoes the Triple Triad card text in identifying the Corvosi swordmaster: "In the real world, the swordmasters of the Unyielding Blade were systematically slaughtered in the war against the Garlean Empire. While some apparently survived this purge, they could not bear imperial oppression and rose up in a failed rebellion. At last, the final swordmaster was taken captive and met an unjust end, or so I have heard." This aligns with the swordmaster's fate described in the short story.
