Introduction

Patch 7.4: Into the Mist will be the fourth major content update introduced for Dawntrail.

Notable Features, Additions, and Changes

New Content

Patch 7.4

Patch 7.41

Patch 7.45

  • Side Story: Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures (?? quests)
  • New Variant Dungeon: Variant Dungeon The Merchant's Tale with changes to the existing Variant/Criterion structure for this one.
    • The Merchant's Tale allows level 90 or higher jobs and can be used for leveling.
    • Variant Dungeon The Merchant's Tale (Advanced): Level 100 dungeon for 2-4 players consisting of stronger versions of the 3 variant dungeon bosses fought in any order.
    • Criterion Dungeons: High-difficulty level 100 dungeon for 4 players consisting of even stronger versions of the 3 bosses in a set order, with resurrection restrictions.
      • Unlike Endwalker criterion dungeons, trash mobs have been removed.
      • A savage criterion version of the Merchant's Tale has not been announced.

System Changes and Additions

  • Duty Support implementation: Dungeon Dzemael Darkhold and Dungeon The Aurum Vale
    • During dungeon bosses with Duty Support, players who die will be given stacks of a buff that allows more deaths to the boss before the fight resets. Applies to any Duty Support dungeon boss.
  • New UI features
  • Glamour update: Job, class, and level restrictions removed. Does not apply to weapons or tools.
  • Outfit glamour update
    • Certain class/job-exclusive gear, starting gear, and "fashion gear" (other than Lv 1) will now be treated as outfit glamours.
    • Individual items that are part of an outfit glamour set can now be converted to outfit glamour without requiring a complete set.
  • Deep Dungeon Deep Dungeon changes to mitigate against disconnects causing save files to be disqualified from further progress:
    • If the player is disconnected when soloing, or if the entire party disconnects in a group run, players will be given a 10-minute grace period to log back in before the save file is disqualified, assuming that the player or party is not fully KO'd during that time.
    • If all alive players disconnect with the rest of the party currently KO'd, the save file will be disqualified.

Miscellaneous
