“In Doma, rumors spread that one of the kami visited the earthly realm. This hearsay was born from a grieving heart, when a woman named Kisei beheld Minato—her daughter by marriage—transform before her very eyes. Instead of acknowledging the tragedy for what it was, she claimed that Minato had been possessed by the spirit of Izanami, and recruited followers from desperate souls searching for answers. The blasphemy's victims were former imperial conscripts, likely due to the fact that Minato's own husband was forced to join the Garlean army—a posting from which he never returned.
