Lore

"As long as there are nights, there will be devilry."

The leader of the Continental Circus, a troupe of traveling entertainers performing in cities across the realm, gives his age as "six hundred and sixty-six"—clearly an unhelpful jape. Regardless, during All Saints' Wake, the troupe's many curiosities attract patrons of all stripes. To all appearances, they are a group of entertainers whose primary interest is to paint the world with a shade of mysticism. The Adventurers' Guild, however, maintains a healthy distrust with regard to the troupe's intentions, and is ever on the alert lest harm come to unsuspecting revelers. Among those with a particular expertise in the occult, some go as far as to claim that the Circus and its leader are voidsent in the guise of regular men and women—though this is, again, preposterous.
